Chapter 13
Aria went to the hospital to check on the patient. When the patient’s family members found out that she was the surgeon, they almost knelt down to show their gratitude.
Aria and the accompanying medical staff hurriedly stopped and helped the family member up. “What are you doing? Saving lives and helping the wounded is our responsibility.”
“If it weren’t for you, my son would have lost his life long ago. It is you who gave him hope of survival. I am truly grateful to you,” the elderly mother of the patient wept, her tears a mixture of joy and relief.
They, as doctors, have seen life and death countless times, and it is a great blessing to be able to save a life from the brink. Her healing instincts as a wolf made the victory even sweeter.
The patient who underwent surgery is now out of danger with no apparent sequelae. It is fortunate in the midst of misfortune.
Aria supported the old woman, comforted her for a few moments, gave some instructions, and then left the ward with the medical staff.
When she returned to the office, she suddenly received a phone call from her father, Alpha Gabriel Ashworth.
After hesitating for a while, she answered the call.
“Aria, can you come back with Alpha Kane for a while?”
Aria vaguely guessed something, her face growing pale as her wolf sensed trouble. “Just say it if you have something.”
“Did you say that? Can’t you go home for a while even if there’s nothing wrong? You must come back in the afternoon.”
Before Aria could refuse, the other party hung up the phone.

Kane was in a meeting at the pack when he also received a text message from Seraphina: “Kane, Jasper has already arrived at the kindergarten. Thank you, if it weren’t for you, Jasper wouldn’t be able to go to school yet.”
He glanced over, and tapped the screen with his fingertips. “It’s fine.”
When he opened his messages, his gaze suddenly fixed on Aria’s chat history.
He just noticed that the last message she sent was on the 8th of last month.
She asked him if he would come over on the weekend.
He didn’t reply.
Until now, she has not sent him another message or any mind–link.
