Chapter 25
Aria looked up in confusion. “Does Alpha Ravencrest need something?”
He was calm and composed, his presence overwhelming. “Have you seen any news today?”
“What news?”
She didn’t understand, her wolf sensing undercurrents she couldn’t identify.
Kane stared at her for a moment, his gaze searching her face for any sign of knowledge about the scandal. “Nothing.”
Then he turned around and walked away.
Aria watched his broad back as he departed, and suddenly remembered Charlie’s situation. She hurried to catch up, saying, “Alpha Ravencrest.”
Kane stopped and looked at her with a hint of coldness. “Is there something else?”
Aria felt a slight pang in her chest at his dismissive tone.
He could only acknowledge her when he needed something, but she couldn’t approach him. That was the reality of their relationship.
She pursed her lips. “Thank you for offering to help me find a lawyer. As for what you said about performance, I will handle the bond severance when I have some free time in the next few days.”
The words about handing him the severance agreement to sign had not yet been spoken when a clear, bright voice rang out.
“Kane!”
Seraphina hurried towards them, and when she saw Aria, her smile faded slightly. She reached out and took Kane’s arm. “Kane, you came to the hospital, but you didn’t come to see me?”
was asserting her territory in front of Aria.
Aria understood the challenge perfectly.
The bottom of her eyes grew colder,
Seraphina would find it laughable if she knew that the Alpha she was clinging to was actually someone else’s mate.
Before Kane could say anything, Seraphina looked at Aria with calculated enthusiasm. “Dr. Ashworth, didn’t you say you weren’t familiar with Kane? It seems like you two know each other quite well. I was actually going to introduce you to each other.”
This remark, to any observer, sounded very much like Seraphina had connections that could benefit Aria professionally.
Kane was the eldest son of the Ravencrest pack, and he had already firmly secured his position as both Alpha of the Ravencrest Pack and supreme ruler of the vast Ravencrest business empire.

Chapter 25
In the business world, he never lacked connections or resources.
He still held shares in the hospital, contributed to sponsor various research projects, and donated several sets of the latest imported medical equipment under the guise of charitable giving.
Everyone in the hospital envied Seraphina for having such a powerful and influential connection.
Now she was offering to introduce Aria to Kane, and the nurses nearby all looked on with obvious envy.
Kane’s gaze fixed on Aria’s face.
It seemed that only Seraphina’s words “She said she wasn’t familiar with him” echoed in his mind.
