When Seraphina received the message of Selena’s complaint, she only then found out that Aria had contacted her son. But she was not afraid that Aria could inquire about anything from her son–after all, her son always listened to her.
She picked up her phone and called Rowan, “Has Mrs. Thorne been out of town recently?”
After Beckett was caught by Kane, she informed Mrs. Thorne about it and asked Mrs. Thorne to find a reason to leave Silverstone, whether it was for a trip or a business trip, in order to avoid falling into Kane’s hands.
Rowan sat in his office on the second–floor balcony of the research institute, flipping through documents with a neutral attitude. “My people are watching her, she won’t fall into Kane’s hands.”
That’s good. Seraphina laughed, her eyes filled with charm.
“It’s been a few days since we last saw each other, how about we find some time to meet up?”
“I’ve been busy lately.” Rowan didn’t even look up. “If Ms. Cross is feeling lonely, you might as well put some effort into climbing into Kane’s bed.” With that, he set down the documents and chuckled, “If you want to become the Luna Ravencrest, it’s not enough for me to help you–you have to be determined yourself, right?”
Faced with his sarcasm, the smile on Seraphina’s face gradually disappeared. Until the other person hung up the phone, she looked extremely angry.
Would she have sought him out if Kane hadn’t refused to touch her?
Here, after Rowan ended the call, he opened Aria’s WhatsApp. Since that day, he had not contacted her again.
He admitted that during the time he met Aria, he found it inexplicable how she got along with Kane, so he suspected that their relationship was not simple. At first, he only caught up with Aria to use her to annoy Kane.
