Aria’s pupils shrank, and he kissed her fiercely. His alpha scent surrounded her completely.
She struggled. Kane ignored the wounds on his waist and abdomen, pulled her back with his backhand, and pushed her onto the bed.
Seeing her struggle hard, Kane endured the pain of his wound tearing, tightened his arms, and held her tightly in his arms. “Aria, I won’t touch you.”
He didn’t make a move. Aria caught a whiff of blood, she looked at the bandages wrapped around him, the new bandages were stained with blood again.
“Aria,” the man’s voice was hoarse, “I was so pain.”
She never looked at him. “You should call the doctor.”
“Weren’t you a doctor?”
She didn’t say anything. He didn’t say anything else.
After a while, the man went silent. If she couldn’t still hear his breathing, she would have thought he was dead.
Aria broke free from his embrace and pressed the nurse call button.
She didn’t stay for long, she left the ward.
The next day, when Kane woke up, the bandage around his waist had been changed. He thought it was Aria who did it, and there was a slight smile at the corner of his lips.
Well, she’s got some heart after all.
Victoria brought the nanny who delivered the meal into the house, but Aria was nowhere to be seen.
“What about her?”
“Who?” Victoria asked knowingly, sneering.
“You mean Aria? She left last night, didn’t stay with you.”

Victoria sat on the sofa, put down her bag. “Are you still expecting her to treat your wound? She’s already doing you a favor by not wanting to kill you!”
