Aria’s mind flashed with Jasper’s image, and she couldn’t think of any other reason for Kane’s loss of coral besides an incident involving Seraphin and her son.

Kane yanked her wrist. “Wasn’t the pastry order placed by you?”
He dragged her without consideration for his grip strength, causing her wrist to throb with pain.

Kane pulled her a step closer with his overwhelming Alpha presence, bringing her within inches of his furious face. “Jasper is allergic to chocolate. Do you know that pastry nearly killed him?
Hearing that, Aria seemed forgot the pain in her arm from his grip. She was taken aback, looking somewhat dazed. “Seraphina never told me about any allergies.”

Kane’s eyes narrowed dangerously, moving closer step by step as if he wanted to throttle her. “Seraphins already informed you about Jaspers chocolate allergy. Are you seriously claiming a mother wouldn’t know her own pup’s allergies?”
Aria stepped back instinctively.
Not until her back hit the cold wall did she realize there was nowhere to retreat.
Kane’s eyes, dark and sharp, seemed like silver blades ready to destroy her at any moment.
And he was doing this because he had listened to Seraphina’s one sided account
He had decided she was guilty without hearing her side. He never trusted her at all.
Aria’s heart suddenly trembled, her wolf howling silently in anguish
