Marriage Contract 12

12

“Noah, let’s play a quick Q&A game, okay?”

The winter night was very cold.

Soaking in the hot spring of the villa with Noah, I couldn’t help wanting to find some fun.

“Alright, ask away.”

Noah massaged my ankles, sore from wearing high heels all day, with a faint smile:

“Am I your true love?”

“Mm.”

“When did you fall in love with me?”

“At thirteen, maybe earlier. Back then, 1 revealed my incubus form like my mother, and was discovered by the family. They forced me to take drugs, gave me electric shocks, and made me wear

all sorts of strange clothes to hide it. At school, you were the only one willing to interact with me…”

I was somewhat surprised:

“I remember now, you were that little boy from the next class! You never spoke, I thought you were a mute who loved cosplay. As the class monitor, of course I had to look out for you extra. But if you liked me, why didn’t you pursue me?”

“You had so many excellent people around you, I didn’t want to hold you back…”

Me: “Next question, when was the last time you lied?”

“Just now.”

4:29 pmDS

Noah caressed my skin from ankle to thigh, touching every inch as if mesmerized:

“The real answer to that question is, I wanted you to belong only to me, to have eyes only for me. Your joy, anger, sorrow, and hatred – all of it should be mine…”

“Oh?” I rested my leg on the man’s shoulder. “Then why didn’t you do it?”

“I couldn’t bear to.”

“When was the most recent time you wanted to do it?”

“When you proposed divorce.”

“Choose between me leaving you or dying.”

For three years after marriage, I kept trying to get back at Tina but failed miserably each time.

“Stay-” The man’s voice took on a slight hoarseness, his tail gently slapping the water’s surface.

“Don’t rush, last question. Do you think I like you?”

I smiled brightly at Noah through the faint mist.

“Lily, just having you by my side is already very good…”

I raised an eyebrow, cutting off the man’s words:

“Noah, you idiot, I love you. Although I can’t pinpoint exactly when or why these feelings started like you can, I’m certain – I love you…” Mmph.

The rest of my words were swallowed.

Waves rippled outwards in circles.

I think I heard Noah crying.

He didn’t know that I had also told a little lie.

From a young age, I was abandoned by my parents and left with my elderly grandparents.

I didn’t even have a single friend my own age to talk to.

Extreme material abundance corresponded to absolute spiritual poverty.

At the age when I most needed love and care, I was extremely deprived of it.

So I craved someone who would witness all my flaws and still love me fiercely until death, defying their genetic instincts to place me in a position more important than their own life.

Never betraying, always passionate.

Noah was the only one who had done that.

So I was destined to fall in love with him.

Let’s sink into depravity together for the rest of our lives.
