Eliana hadn’t forgotten about this, but she hadn’t expected Felix to be serious.
Felix went on, “Mr. Hall has already shown me Raphael’s files. His image is indeed good, and there’s no negative news about him. More importantly, ha has great market potential. But I heard he’s arbitrary when accepting endorsements. Is that true?”
Nolan hurried to say, “No one would be willing to turn down a Vellum Glow endorsement.”
But that wasn’t necessarily the case, for Raphael had truly rejected big–name brands before. He seemed to be from a wealthy family, entering the entertainment industry more like just playing around.
As Eliana thought this, she heard Felix say, “So, I want to leave this matter to you.”
Eliana pointed at herself in confusion.
Felix nodded in affirmation. If Eliana hadn’t worked there, he wouldn’t have bothered to come.
“I can’t do this. Raphael isn’t under my management,” Eliana said, then looked at Nolan for help.
Everyone in the company knew that Raphael brought Starlight Media the greatest benefits, and he was also the most unapproachable person there. Even Nolan showed him great deference.
“Mr. Yates, excuse us for a moment,” Nolan said to Felix, then led Eliana aside and spoke softly, “Ellie, this is a great opportunity for your promotion. You’d better take it.”
Eliana knew Nolan was thinking of her. However, she said, “I’ve never even spoken to Raphael.”
Nolan said awkwardly, “It’s okay. He just seems cold, but he’s actually easy to get along with.”
Eliana fell silent, for Nolan’s words contradicted the rumors that Raphael was difficult to get along with.
Nolan didn’t give her a chance to hesitate. He directly put his hands on her shoulders and turned her toward Felix. He said, “Mr. Yates, I’ll accept on Ellie’s
behalf.”
Eliana thought, ‘What? Did he just push me into this shit like that?‘
Felix nodded, then suddenly stared at Nolan’s hand on Eliana’s shoulder and narrowed his eyes. “Mr. Hall, she’s married. Your behavior is rather inappropriate, isn’t it?”
Nolan awkwardly put down his hand and explained, “Mr. Yates, please don’t misunderstand. I’ve always regarded Ellie as a younger sister.”
Felix nodded, then glanced at Eliana’s hand. Seeing it was empty, he asked softly, “Eliana, you’re not wearing your wedding ring. Do you dislike the design, or did Theo make you angry?”
Eliana was slightly startled. She didn’t know why everyone was concerned about whether she wore a wedding ring. She could only say, “It’s too precious. I was afraid of losing it accidentally while washing my hands, so I put it in my bag.”
Saying such a poor excuse made her blush, but fortunately, Felix didn’t expose her.
After discussing more business, Felix asked his secretary to leave a contract to be signed and then left.
Eliana breathed a sigh of relief and turned to meet Nolan’s gaze filled with emotion. She couldn’t help asking, “What’s wrong, Mr. Hall?”
Nolan said half–jokingly, “Ellie, although you’re always unlucky, there are many people helping you.”
Eliana’s mouth twitched. “Mr. Hall, don’t make fun of me. By the way, did the police find the person who installed the ceiling light?”

Nolan continued, “Through the portrait you described last time, the police found out his name is Evan Cox He’s from out of town and has been mar a hotel near the train station for the past two days.”
He said, “When the police were about to go find him, the hotel suddenly caught fire, burning Evan and everything in his room to ashes.
Eliana felt a chill. “Isn’t that too coincidental?”
Nolan was silent for a moment before continuing, “Indeed. But now the clues are broken. Evan stayed in a hotel near the train station, which had no surveillance. Otherwise, the police could find the cause of the fire, or rather, the arsonist.”
Eliana asked worriedly, “Who on earth wants to harm Mr. Anthony Russell and Ms. Powell?” After all, at that time, they were the closest to the ceiling light.
But Nolan said with relief, “This also proves you took the blame for someone else. I’ll call Mr. Anthony Russell later to explain clearly, so Ms. Powell won’t hold a grudge against you.”

Eliana said, “Hello, is that Ed? I’m Eliana. Mr. Hall asked me to discuss an endorsement with Raphael.”
“I know. Mr. Hall just called Raphael personally, but Raphael refused,” Ed said.
Eliana asked, “May I ask why? Is Vellum Glow not famous enough, or is the endorsement fee not high enough?”
“Because of you.” Ed gave an unexpected answer.
“Raphael said that at the engagement party you personally planned, there was almost a fatal accident. The contract you bring might be cursed with bad -luck, and he doesn’t want the next person to have an accident to be him,” Ed said.
Although Eliana knew some people in the entertainment industry were superstitious, she couldn’t help feeling sad. This unwarranted charge made it impossible for her to clear her name. She said, “Is it okay if I don’t touch the contract?”
Ed said, “Ms. Burke, don’t play with words. Raphael knows you can make Mr. Hall do anything to protect you and even make the Vellum Glow boss ask you to be in charge of the endorsement. He doesn’t like a bitch like you.”
After saying this, he hung up the phone without giving Eliana a chance to defend herself.
Coming back to her senses, Eliana was trembling with anger. She was so angry that she called back, but only heard a busy tone.
“Damn it!” Even with the best upbringing, Eliana couldn’t help swearing.
Raphael said the contract tainted by her would bring bad luck and called her flirtatious. Eliana decided to retaliate against him no matter what.

In the evening, when Raphael came out of the company and went to the underground garage to drive, someone suddenly jumped out from b car and splashed a bucket of red liquid on him.
