Chapter 215
Chapter 215
Isaac was thoroughly confused.
Anthony continued teasingly, “Staring at someone is just being polite, got it?”
Isaac nodded vaguely. “Good thing you don’t like Ellie–otherwise, you two would never work out.”
Anthony clenched his fingers on his knees. ‘How do I know it won’t work out if I don’t even try?‘ he thought defiantly.
The next moment, a familiar voice came from the doorway of the room. “That’s right.”
Anthony’s expression darkened as he turned. He said, “Theodore, I didn’t expect you to track us down so quickly.”
The person who entered was none other than Theodore.
Now that he knew about the incident at the Therapy Center, it was only natural he wouldn’t stand idly by.
In contrast to Anthony’s wariness, Isaac beamed at Theodore and exclaimed, “Theodore, you’re finally here. I’ve missed you so much.”
Theodore walked straight past Anthony to Isaac’s side. Seeing the thick bandages wrapped around Isaac’s abdomen, Theodore instantly turned grim with concern.
Not wanting to be ignored, Anthony cut in, “I’ve already lined up Prof. Walker, Novaria’s top surgical authority, to perform a second surgery on them.”
Theodore retorted, “Who gave you the right to take matters into your
own
hands?”

“Ellie, of course,” Anthony replied.
Theodore demanded, “What did you just call her?”
Anthony said, “That’s what I’ve been calling her these past few days.”
Though their exchange appeared calm, their gazes had already clashed countless times in silent confrontation.
When Eliana returned from her shower, she found Theodore and Anthony sitting on either side of Isaac’s bed, like two imposing bodyguards.
But how could someone like her ever afford bodyguards like them?
The moment she appeared, Theodore’s gaze instinctively locked onto her. Her long, damp hair cascaded over her chest, making her already thin face
look even more gaunt.
His fingers twitched with the urge to reach out, his heart aching with remorse.
After such an ordeal, he should have comforted her in his arms–yet in a fit of jealous rage, he’d almost hurt her instead.
Isaac said, “Ellie, Theodore said he wants to stay here tonight to take care of me. You-”
Before he could finish, Eliana cut him off sharply. “No.”
Isaac asked in confusion, “But why?”
“Because he has to work tomorrow,” Eliana said, glancing at Theodore. “With your hectic schedule, I wouldn’t want to trouble you with Isaac’s affairs. Please go home.”
“Not a problem. I have all the time in the world,” Theodore stepped closer as he spoke.

Chapter 215
Seeing her try to avoid him, he immediately seized her wrist and leaned in, his voice dropping to a dangerous murmur. “Do you really want to continue this argument right in front of Isaac?”
Eliana couldn’t help but glance at Isaac, only to see him gazing at Theodore, clearly reluctant to part with him.
‘Theodore is clearly taking full advantage of how much Isaac adores him,‘ Eliana thought angrily.
Fuming, she glared at him and snapped, “You’ve slept with other women, so why this hypocritical a act?”
“I’d rather die than admit to something I didn’t do,” Theodore hissed urgently in her ear. “Did you forget? At Mr. Turner’s birthday party, I was drugged. Even when Alice threw herself at me, I still wouldn’t lay a finger on her.”
Eliana bit her lower lip. ‘Sure, I can’t deny it, but that doesn’t mean he’ll always stay this faithful,’ she thought.
“Who knows, maybe there’s a secretary out there who’s younger and prettier than Alice–someone who can actually make you lose control?” she
retorted.
In a heated moment, Theodore leaned in and blurted in her ear, “Don’t you get it? You’re the only one who can make me lose control–both my mind and my body.”
At his words, Eliana’s ears and cheeks burned crimson. “You… Shut your mouth! Don’t set a bad example for Isaac!” she snapped.
