When Eliana arrived at work at Starlight Media the next day, she spotted two people tussling in the lobby. As she got closer, she thought, ‘Isn’t that Megan?‘
Megan frowned at the well–dressed man beside her and said, “Mr. Ryker, I’ve made it clear that I’ll only be there for the ribbon–cutting at your new hotel and nothing else. Now, let go of me.”
Noah Ryker tightened his grip on her hand and said, “Megan, I’ve always been your biggest fan. I just want to invite you to my yacht party next Saturday, that’s all.
“You’re so beautiful, so just showing up in front of those rich playboys could earn you as much as filming
an
entire drama.”
Megan sneered, “Mr. Ryker, I’m a celebrity, not some cheap escort. I have zero interest in your proposals. Let go of me now, or I’ll call security!”
Noah, unable to persuade her, flew into a rage. “Megan, don’t mistake my kindness for weakness. Countless women beg me for an invitation, yet you dare refuse me? Do you even know what caliber of people will be at that party?”
Megan had a fiery temper–the tougher others were, the tougher she got. She retorted, “Obviously, people who are wealthier and more noble than you. That’s why you’re scouting for actresses to help with your social climbing.”
“You!” Provoked by her retort, Noah raised his hand threateningly.
“Stop it!” Eliana commanded sharply.
Noah turned around instinctively. Seeing a young woman, he asked impatiently, “And who might you be?”
Ever since she married Theodore, Eliana had kept a low profile, socializing only within his circle, so it was only natural that Noah didn’t know her.
“I’m her colleague,” Eliana said, casting a meaningful glance at Megan, who immediately rushed to her side.
“A colleague?” Noah sneered. “So you’re a celebrity too? Funny, I don’t recall seeing you around. Ah, you must be a trainee then?”
Ignoring his rhetorical questions, Eliana was about to walk away when Noah suddenly gave her a leering once–over.
With a suggestive smirk, he said, “It’s fine if you haven’t made your debut yet. If you come with me to the yacht party next Saturday, I guarantee you’ll become an overnight sensation.”
Megan blurted out angrily, “Are you out of your mind? How dare you have designs on her?”
Noah shot Megan a contemptuous look and sneered, “What? You don’t want the money, and you won’t even let your colleague get any? Seems like you’re not that special after all. Even a mere trainee is prettier than you.”
“You!” This time, it was Megan’s turn to raise her hand, ready to slap him.
Eliana grabbed Megan’s hand and advised, “Megan, don’t act rashly. Why don’t we go meet Mr. Hall together and let him handle this?”
Megan shot her a look, then forced out through gritted teeth. “Fine, we’ll do as you say.”
Having overheard their conversation, Noah said with arrogant confidence, “I don’t think Nolan would dare cross me for some B–list actress.”
Eliana looked him in the eye and said, “Shall we give it a shot? If Mr. Hall is too afraid to cross you, you’ll get to take Megan away. Hanging around here and pestering us is just wasting your time.”
Upon hearing this, Noah nodded with a sly grin. “That’s true. You’re quite the savvy one. Why don’t you accompany me to the party next Saturday?”
Eliana responded with a tight–lipped smile, “We’ll see about that.”

Megan stared in disbelief as Eliana handled Noah so effortlessly. “Damn! If only f’d done what you did, I wouldn’t have had to put up with his nonsense for so long.”
Eliana turned back with a teasing smile. “See? That’s just your fiery temper showing again.”
After things settled down, Eliana glanced at Megan’s stomach and asked gently, “How’s your scar removal?”
Megan gave her stomach a playful pat and grinned. “Totally successful. I can wear a swimsuit when filming now. The remaining flaws can just be covered with concealer.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” Eliana said with a sigh of relief. “Come on. Let’s go see Mr. Hall,”
When Eliana stepped into Nolan’s office, she saw Felix there too and muttered subconsciously, “Mr. Yates?”
With a cheerful grin, Felix replied, “Hey, Eliana.”
Eliana turned to Nolan, about to bring up Megan’s harassment issue, when he beamed and said, “Ellie, since Raphael’s last watch commercial for Mr. Yates was such a hit, Mr. Yates is here today to renew his contract.”
‘Ah, so that’s why he’s here,‘ Eliana thought.
Only then did Nolan notice Megan standing behind Eliana. He chuckled and asked, “How did you two end up coming here together?”
Eliana saw Megan hesitate and encouraged her, “Go ahead and tell him. Mr. Yates is one of us.”
Megan finally spoke up, “Here’s what happened, Mr. Hall…”
After hearing Megan’s words, Nolan slammed the table and exploded, “How dare Noah treat my artists like this?”
Megan chimed in indignantly, “That’s exactly what I told him. But he swore you wouldn’t dare cross him over some B–list actress like me.”
Nolan’s anger flared. “Who says I wouldn’t dare? I even took on that bastard Matthew, so why would I be afraid of him?”
Just then, Felix chuckled and said, “Easy now, Mr. Hall. What’s the harm in her accompanying him? There’s no need to strain relations with a business associate over this.”
In Felix’s eyes, employees were merely profit–generating tools. It made no business sense to alienate business associates of comparable standing over
such assets.
“Are you kidding me?” Megan immediately bristled. “How about you go entertain a bunch of rich cougars drooling over your body? Would you like that?”
Felix glanced at her, still smiling. “Why not, if there’s money to be made?”
Megan gritted her teeth and snapped, “I thought you looked like a decent guy, but turns out you’re rotten inside too.”
“Megan, is that any way to talk to Mr. Yates?” Nolan hastily interjected. “Mr. Yates is in a completely different league from Noah.”
Felix’s eyes narrowed slightly, the edge in his gaze softening. “The yacht party is next Saturday, right?”
Megan angrily cut him off, “Yeah. That párty sounds anything but decent. I bet most of the guys there are total creeps.”
Felix chuckled lightly. “What a coincidence. I’ll be there too.”
Megan froze for a second, her face flushing with rage. “So you’re all birds of a feather!”
“Oh? Does that include Theodore as well?” Felix inquired with a smirk.

Megan froze in shock.
“Mr. Yates,” Eliana asked instinctively, “are you saying Mr. Russell will be there too?”
Felix turned to her with a gentler expression. “Yeah. He hasn’t told you yet?”
Eliana shook her head and asked, “So, it’s not that kind of shady party after all?”
Felix chuckled, “As far as Theodore is concerned, I’d say so. There was once a famous bombshell who tried every trick to seduce him, but he didn’teen blink. Some wannabe starlets really think the world revolves around them, don’t they?”
At this point, Megan’s face flushed red with humiliation.
