After pouring a cup of hot water for Eliana and feeding her to drink it, Theodore asked, “Feeling any better?”
She said, “Yeah.” Not long after, Eliana’s stomachache subsided, so she said, “Don’t worry. Let’s go for dinner.”
At the dining table, Alice removed the contraceptive soup for Eliana but deliberately served another dish that was placed right in front of Eliana, where almost no one else could reach it.
Watching Eliana eat it out of convenience, Mindy glanced at Alice with a worried look. She thought, ‘God will punish her and her unborn child.‘
In the second–floor room. After taking a shower, Eliana suddenly received a call from Harper.
“Ellie, that bastard Ashton seems to have figured it out. He’s been calling me these past two days, but I didn’t answer,” said Harper.
She continued, “I know he must be investigating my whereabouts. Ellie, before I got off the boat, Mr. Russell said he’d help me. Does that still count?”
“Alright, don’t panic. I’ll ask him right now,” said Eliana.
Harper said, “Okay. Thank you very much, Ellie.”
When Eliana turned to tell Theodore about this, he said with a half–smile, “She said Ashton has come to his senses?”
“Yeah. At the time, Ashton was in a rage, so it was easy for Harper to manipulate his thoughts. Now that he’s calmed down, he must have noticed something fishy. After all, Harper escaped from him before,” said Eliana.
The smile on Theodore’s lips deepened. Ashton, as the owner of a nightclub, was fooled by a woman–he thought, ‘That’s really quite funny.‘
As Ashton’s good brother, he might as well add fuel to the fire, making Ashton see his own heart clearly through this. “Ellie, tell Harper that at 12 noon tomorrow, my people will escort her out of Covenhill on time.”
“12 noon tomorrow?” Eliana thought, ‘That’s exactly when the company has its lunch break.‘ So she said, “I’ll go too.”
Theodore raised an eyebrow. “For what?”
Eliana said, “I don’t know when I’ll see Harper again. Even though we haven’t known each other long, we really hit it off.”
“All right,” Theodore agreed. “Tomorrow at noon, I’ll have someone pick you up at Star Joy first, then go get her from where Harper’s staying. You can chat on the way.”
Eliana couldn’t help but kiss him on the cheek. “Theodore, I thank you on Harper’s behalf.”
The next second, Theodore gently pinched her chin, narrowed his eyes, and asked, “Is that all?” He was no longer satisfied with such a fleeting touch.
Catching the teasing in his eyes, Eliana shrank back shyly but was grabbed by the wrist. His slightly rough fingertips caressed her thin skin as he said, “Mrs. Russell, Alice is already pregnant. Shouldn’t we hurry up, too?”
Upon hearing this, Eliana felt a little unhappy. “Her pregnancy is her business. Why should I compete with her?”

Realizing Alice was a sore spot for her, Theodore immediately changed his tune, “Grandpa called me yesterday. He said he regrets that his first great–grandchild isn’t from us.”
“Huh? Mr. Daniel Russell called you?” Eliana perked up at once. “Did he mention how Mrs. Margaret Russell is doing?”
Speaking of this, Theodore’s eyes dimmed. “Grandma is still the same. Now, apart from hoping Grandma wakes up, Grandpa wants us to have a child.”
“Well, that’s impossible. Alice already got pregnant first. Even if I get pregnant now, I can’t catch up with her,” said Eliana.
Fortunately, Eliana had a good attitude and didn’t have the urgency of a typical wealthy wife rushing to have the first child. “Besides, I’m still young. No hurry.”

Theodore let out a soft sigh, “Silly girl.” Time waited for no one. He was afraid he wouldn’t have enough time with the child as he or she grew up.
The next noon, in front of the boarding gate, Eliana held Harper’s hand, reluctant to let go. “Harper, this is as far as I can see you off. Once you settle down in Meliora, call me.”
Harper said, “Got it. I’ll call you as soon as I get off the plane. Goodbye.”
They had talked enough on the way to the airport, and besides, Harper wasn’t an indecisive person. She waved and dragged her suitcase away without hesitation.
After watching Harper’s plane take off, Eliana was about to leave when a man chasing from behind pulled her hard to turn her
around.
Looking at the man in front of her, with messy hair but still handsome, Eliana was shocked. She thought, ‘Ashton? How did he know Harper would board at Covenhill Airport?‘
Eliana was both shocked and relieved. If Harper hadn’t escaped quickly, she would have been caught by Ashton today. The next second, Ashton asked sharply, “Where’s Harper?”
Since she remained silent, Ashton gripped her arm harder. “Tell me where Harper is.”
Seeing that he was anxious to the point of losing control, Eliana suddenly felt a twinge of satisfaction for Harper. “She’s gon

Ashton’s jaw tightened. “If you weren’t Theo’s woman, I’d definitely hit you!”
Ashton’s aggression incited all the hidden dissatisfaction Eliana had with him. She replied sharply, “If you weren’t Theodore’s good friend, I’d want to hit you. Why should Harper only be a cover for you and Cathy?”
Ashton was left speechless, then urged impatiently, “Tell me her flight number.”
Eliana said expressionlessly, “Tell you her flight number so you can keep torturing her?”
She continued, “Cathy is almost graduating from college. Your ‘My Fair Lady‘ plan is almost done. Harper is just willing to quit, solving your worries. What else are you unhappy about?”
At the words “quit,” Ashton’s eyes turned red, his tone filled with pain and hatred. “So, when she said she loved me, it was all a lie?”
Eliana shook her head. “I don’t know. She didn’t talk to me about that.”
Ashton clenched his fist and bit it hard by his lips in frustration. “I should never have believed the nonsense of a hooker!”
“You still haven’t learned to respect her. No wonder she left,” Eliana said, yanking her arm out of his grip and turning to leave.
Ashton stared at the plane in the sky, lost in thought for a while, then unwillingly went to the ticket office to ask about Harper’s flight information.
