Chapter 260
“Mr. Russell, it’s not your fault,” Samuel comforted Theodore and then looked down at Alice in the first floor hall Head with relief, “It’s a good thing you didn’t end up marrying her. That woman is really horrible.”
Meanwhile, in the first–floor living room. Lainey slouched on the sofa, rubbing her brow as she spoke, “Anthony, what should we do?”
Anthony helped Alice up and settled her on the sofa, then softly urged, “Alice, Theodore is still in a rage. Maybe you should go out and lie low for a while.”
Alice looked at Lainey and Anthony. Then, she said with a sneer, “You want to abandon me and the kid, right?”
“Hey, don’t be paranoid. I did almost everything I could to ask Theodore to let you stay, but he just wouldn’t allow it. What else could I do?” Lainey said.
As she went on, she couldn’t help complaining, “Do you have any idea how bold you’ve been? You didn’t even plan properly before acting. That nutritionist had only been in the house a short while, and you already trusted her?”
Lainey felt relieved that Anthony hadn’t gotten involved in Alice’s scheme, or he would have been implicated.
Anthony then said, “Alice, listen to me. You have something to hold over me. I could never just turn my back on you.”
Seeing they were really helpless about keeping her in the Russell family, Alice had to compromise.
“I can leave Russell Manor for the time being, but you have to settle me properly. If there’s the slightest mistreatment of me or the child, I’ll take everyone down with me,” said Alice.
“Calm down and lower your voice.” Lainey wanted to sew her mouth.
“Well, you can live in the new villa you bought in case you’re always worried about being spied on by me,” Anthony said. “As for everything else, Mom and I will arrange it. You just focus on resting.”
“Remember what you said, Anthony. No matter how much you dislike me, at least the child is yours. You can’t let it become a bastard.”
If that happened, her child wouldn’t get any benefits from the Russell family, and she’d be the laughingstock of the entire town.
“I know,” Anthony promised Alice, serious for the first time.
The next day was Saturday. When Eliana got up, she ran straight into Samuel, who was coming out of the guest room.
Facing her surprising face, Samuel greeted her at ease. “Good morning, Mrs. Russell.”
“Dr. Wilson, didn’t you go back last night?” asked Eliana.
“Oh, Mr. Russell asked me to prepare your meals from today,” Samuel said, then walked to the small kitchen. “I’ll use this to make special dishes for you from now on.”
Eliana couldn’t help being surprised. “You can cook?”
Samuel rolled his eyes and said, “Come on, I live alone. If I didn’t know how to cook, I would have starved a long time ago.”

Chapter 260
Eliana thought of his bachelor apartment and couldn’t help saying, “That’s Impressive. Few guys I know can cook
“Don’t worry. A doctor’s hands are the steadiest. You don’t have to worry about me making some inedible mess, Samuel said and indeed started making her breakfast.
Eliana was about to help when Samuel said, “Oh, just realized you’re out of salt here. Could you grab a new pack for me?”
“Sure, I’ll get it from the kitchen downstairs. Wait a minute,” Eliana said, then went down. She didn’t expect to see Alice pulling a suitcase, walking out of the elevator.
When their eyes met, Alice suppressed her resentment and walked over to Eliana in a proud way. “Eliana, I will come back,” said Alice.
Eliana scratched her head and had no idea what Alice was talking about.
