Chapter 267
When the boys saw their buddy get hit on the head for no reason, they immediately flew into a rage, grabbing beer bottles to retaliate.
But then they noticed the man in charge had a big group behind him–all tall and sturdy, looking really tough to mess with.
Plus, when the man in charge gave them a cold stare, the boys were all daunted. No matter how rebellious they were, they were just students. They were no match for someone like Theodore, who’d truly danced on the edge of danger.
Meanwhile, Barbara stared at Theodore in a daze, calling out nervously, “Theodore–”
Theodore glanced at the terrified boys and then said to Barbara, “What’s that in your hand?”
Barbara glanced at the ecstasy in her hand, quickly hiding it behind her back. “N–nothing.”
Theodore said, “Give it to me.”
Barbara had to hand over the pill in guilt.
Theodore held the pill, looking at the boys who huddled together in fear. “You use this to lure her?”
The boys said in a trembling voice, “She asked for fun. It’s not our fault. After we knew she was a Russell, we didn’t dare mess with her. She kept contacting us and asked where we hung out tonight.”
After hearing that, Theodore tossed the pill to the owner of Velvet Mirage behind him, saying, “This was found in your club. You handle it.”
The owner breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Mr. Russell. I promise I’ll take care of this properly.”
If the police found ecstasy here, his club would definitely be searched thoroughly, maybe even shut down.
Thinking that, the owner shot the boys a fierce glare. It was all their fault, dragging him into such big trouble. He’d make sure to teach them a good lesson.
Seeing the fierce expression on the owner’s face, the boys scrambled over the sofa to run, but the club’s bouncers surrounded them, leaving them stuck.
On the other side, Theodore said to Barbara, “Come with me.”
“Okay.” In front of Theodore, Barbara couldn’t summon the slightest courage to resist. Looking at this tall and sturdy man, she rubbed her eyes and thought, ‘Why does Theodore care more about me than Anthony?‘
When she got into the Rolls–Royce, she saw Eliana was there too. Barbara reacted at once and asked, “You told Theodore about this?”
Theodore lifted Eliana’s hand that Barbara had bitten and glared coldly at his little sister. “You bit Ellie first. That’s why I asked her what happened.”
Barbara immediately hung her head guiltily. She’d been in a hurry to escape, but Eliana just wouldn’t let her go. In a pank, she bit Eliana–she hadn’t meant to leave such a terrible bite mark.
Theodore looked at her, suddenly frowning “Look at you. You don’t look like a Russell at all

Barbara felt hurt by his scolding, rushing to explain, “Theodore, my hair dye’s temporary–it washes out. And this tattoo on my hand is a sticker. See? I can just peel it off. Don’t be so harsh on me, okay?”
Theodore’s expression softened a little after seeing her peel off the tattoo sticker. But thinking of her swinging arms with those boys, his handsome face turned cold again. “Have you been dating any of those boys?”
Barbara waved her hands frantically. “No! How could I date them?”
The men she admired were like Theodore. Those boys were just tools to help her act out,
Eliana couldn’t help but laugh at how timid she was. But Barbara saw it as mockery. “Eliana, you ratted me out, and you dare laugh?”
Hearing that, Theodore slapped Barbara. Eliana was shocked and gripped his arm. “Theodore, she came back safely, and that matters the most, right? Don’t hit her.”
Meanwhile, Barbara covered the cheek that Theodore just slapped. She hadn’t been hit by anyo
er life.
Even though she admired Theodore, Barbara couldn’t help but say in a sulk, “Why did you hit me? Just because I said something a little bad to her?”
Theodore patted Eliana’s hand, signaling he was still in control, then turned back to Barbara. “You shouldn’t have made Ellie worry about you.”
Ellie was still recovering. He’d been taking such care of her lately and keeping her from stress. But today, she’d had to fret over Barbara, and Barbara repaid her with shouts.
Hearing him talk only about Eliana, Barbara–who hadn’t seen her family in over two months–burst into tears.
“Fine, you have Eliana. Anthony has that bitch Alice. Mom has Jayden. What about me? I study like a robot every day. Who loves me?” Barbara said.

Eliana took a tissue from her bag and silently put it on Bárbara’s lap. But Barbara, louder and louder–even the driver in front was affected.
After a while, Barbara, hiccupping from crying, had to stop. Eliana sa Theodore. But he stayed cold and had no intention of comforting his little sister.

That crushed Barbara. She snapped at the driver, “Let me out ”
The driver asked, “Mr. Russell?”
Theodore said flatly, “Ignore her.”
“Yes, Mr. Russell.” The driver kept heading for Russell Manor
Barbara looked at Theodore with red eyes. “Theodore, if you hate me so much, why force me to go back?”
Theodore said, “It’s still your home.”
“It’s not my home. It’s Alice’s. That night, even Mom and Anthony took her side, I didn’t do anything, but they all made me

Barbara, looking pitiful, begged, “Theodore, take me back to school, please? I don’t want to go home and be forced to apologize to Alice again.”
Theodore said flatly, “You don’t have to apologize to her.”
Barbara asked without thinking, “Why?”
Theodore said, “She’s kicked out of our family.”
Barbara gaped. “No way.”
“It’s true,” Eliana chimed in. “You can go home without worry.”
