The next day. Theodore left for work in high spirits, while Eliana was still lying in bed, unable to get up due to intense sex.

It wasn’t until Samuel knocked on the door twice that Eliana opened her eyes. She groggily put on her pajamas, got out of bed, and opened the door.
Seeing Eliana’s sleepy eyes and her neck with faint love bites, Samuel raised an eyebrow and asked teasingly, “You and Mr. Russell last night must have had a great night.”
Eliana covered her mouth with her sleeve and yawned, then skipped his question entirely. “Dr. Wilson, is breakfast ready? Hold on a second. I’ll come out after brushing my teeth and washing my face.”
Then, she was about to close the door when Samuel stopped her and asked with a sneer, “You mean I look like a servant to you?”
After getting along for a while, Eliana knew from his tone that he was angry. Samuel was good in every way, except that he couldn’t stand being taken lightly.
Eliana organized her words, then flattered him, “No. You’re a genius doctor, young and handsome, with magical hands that bring back life. No one will ever look down upon you.”
Samuel let go of the door. After it closed, he narrowed his eyes and thought, ‘When do I become so easy to coax?‘
A moment later, Eliana came out of the room, fully dressed, and started enjoying the breakfast Samuel had carefully prepared for her.
After many improvements, the healthy meal surprisingly suited her taste. Every time she got satisfied with the flavor, she would give Samuel a thumbs–up and sincerely praise. “Dr. Wilson, your girlfriend will definitely be very happy.”
Samuel crossed his arms with a smile and looked pleased.
Suddenly, the elevator door opened on the second floor. Barbara walked out and said to Eliana, “I have something to talk to you about.”
Seeing Samuel looking at her, Barbara emphasized, “I want to talk to you alone, is that okay?”
Eliana nodded. “Sure.”
Samuel gave Barbara a warning look before leaving.
Then, Eliana put down her spoon and asked with a hint of concern, “Is your face feeling better?”
“It’s fine now.” Barbara glanced at the healthy meal in her bowl and thought, ‘How did she endure all this?‘
Compared to Barbara, Eliana should hate Alice even more. Barbara could still run away from this house, but Eliana had married into the Russell family. She could only take whatever happened here and had no room to escape.
Theodore was right that the last thing Barbara should do was to worry Eliana, a patient.
Barbara said, “I’m sorry for biting you yesterday. When I said I blamed you for stopping me from drugging Alice, I was just taking my anger out on you.”
“Actually, I stopped blaming you a long time ago. On the contrary, I’m subconsciously grateful to you. Just like Theodore stopped

Listening to her words, Eliana felt relieved. Barbara was a good student, logical and thoughtful. Communicating with such a person was an easy task. Given a little time, she would figure things out on her own.
Because Eliana had taken Theodore, whom Barbara loved most, Barbara had always been biased against her, and they had never
been close.
But Eliana still remembered that Barbara had hinted at her several times to stay away from Anthony, which was enough to prove that Barbara was a good girl.
After saying what she wanted to say, Barbara picked up her schoolbag and said, “I should go eat breakfast. Goodbye, Ellie.”
Eliana was stunned. It was the first time she’d heard Barbara call her like that.
Samuel, hiding in the dark, couldn’t help curving his lips. He thought, ‘Does Mr. Russell know his wife’s gonna capture everyone’s heart in his family?”
Meanwhile, in Russell Group, Stanley said respectfully, “Mr. Russell, Mr. Wren here again. This time he brought his sister, and they’re making a lot of noise outside. Everyone is so annoyed.”
Delilah had always been impulsive, and Theodore could hear her voice through the office door. He couldn’t help but say, “Tell them I’m busy.”
Stanley asked, “Are you really not going to cooperate with Wren Group?”
Theodore said, “Just ignore them. I want to see the sincerity of the Wren family.”
They’d been kept waiting for so many days. Theodore really knew how to torment people. But then again, the Wren family betrayed Theodore.
Stanley turned to pass on Theodore’s message. “I’m sorry, you Mr. Russell is busy. Please come back another day.”
Hearing this, Marcus glanced at Delilah. The next second, Delilah said, “Theodore has been busy for so long; he should take a break. Get out of the way.”
After speaking, she pushed Stanley aside without hesitation and burst into the office.
“Ms. Wren!” Stanley called out, then hurried after her. Marcus followed them unhurriedly.
In the office, Delilah was clinging to Theodore’s arm, pouting and cooing, “Theodore, your assistant is lying. There’s clearly no one else in the office besides you, but he lied to us that you’re busy.”
Theodore coldly pulled his hand away and said, “Can’t I be busy when I’m alone? You burst in like this. Can I take it that you’re trying to steal Russell Group’s commercial secrets?”
Hearing this, Delilah subconsciously glanced at the dense contracts on his desk, then let go of his hand and said nervously, “Theodore, don’t misunderstand me. I’m definitely not a commercial spy.”
Theodore pointed with the tip of his pen, “Then back off, three meters away from me.”
Delilah took three steps back, then said pitifully, “Theodore, my brother and I came to see you sincerely. Why won’t you see us!”“”

Chapter 269
Seeing Theodore look at him, Marcus said at the right time, “I didn’t manage Della well, which made her act recklessly. Sorry, Theodore.”
In fact, Marcus had deliberately brought Delilah along. She’d loved clinging to Theodore since she was a child, and even if she got into trouble, Theodore would be used to it and not argue with her.
If Marcus hadn’t brought her here, he would have left empty–handed again today.
Theodore leaned back in his chair and said, “If you’re here about the Deepcove construction project, I can only say it’s still under consideration.”
Theodore said it was still under consideration, but to Marcus, he felt so suppressed.
To show Wren Group’s sincerity these days, Marcus hadn’t even dared to contact other companies to discuss joint bidding for the Deepcove.
But if Theodore ended up rejecting them after all this consideration, Wren Group would be companies join forces to compete for the right to build it.

Seeing the conversation reach a stalemate, Delilah couldn’t help but say, “Theodore, let’s not talk about business. When will you come to our house for dinner? My brother and I still want to repay you for saving our lives last time.”
“You want to invite me to dinner?” asked Theodore.
Delilah said, “Yes.”
“I’ll consider it,” said Theodore.
As Marcus and Delilah’s faces suddenly lit up with joy, Theodore put down his pen, clasped his hands, and said, “As long as your father comes to invite me in person.”
