With so many people watching. Eliana’s face turned crimson. Her voice softened considerably as the mumbled, “I didn’t mean to… Aan you still hurting?”
Theodore raised his eyebrow “Sure. Why don’t you give me a good stroka?”
Eliana stared at him, wondering in disbelief, ‘What the heck. Is this guy flirting with me?”

Seeing her frozen with a blank look on her face, Theodore couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch her cheek. With a teasing smile, he added, “Weight, bac to business. I’ll let you have your way tonight, alright?”
‘Darn it. He’s obviously just having fun at my expense, Eliana thought, glaring at him in exasperation.
Hugging the sketchbook to her chest, she turned and went off to discuss production costs with the renovation team.
A moment later, one of the workers said, “Mrs. Russell, we’ll come back this afternoon to install the window. Please be extra careful when moving around.”
Though the reminder was directed at Theodore, Eliana responded, “Alright, we’ll be careful!
After walking the workers out. Eliana was just about to head upstairs to cook lunch for Theodore when she noticed a teenage girl, about eighteen at most, standing at the top of the staircase. The girl was staring down at her with an icy expression

Barbara looked up, her voice faltering just slightly. “Oh, Anthony”
Anthony descended the stairs, adjusting the cuffs of his shirt as he spoke gently, “Barbie, when did you get back? You should’ve told me I could send the driver to pick you up.”
Barbara dropped her gaze and murmured, “I came back around midnight, it was late, so I didn’t want to wake anyone.
Anthony studied her for a moment and sighed, “You’ve been boarding at school these past two years. It’s made you a little distant from me, huh?”
