Chapter 6
Even though she was thinking all that, Eliana didn’t let any of it show on her face. After all, this was the Russell family’s territory
She replied, “Alright then. Wyatt, is there a shared washing machine in the house? The rug in the room got dirty. I’d like to clean n“
Wyatt nodded. “There is. On the fourth floor. Mrs. Russell, you’ll have to take it up yourself.” It was something the servants should’ve Handled, but his no problem assigning it to Eliana without the slightest hesitation.
“Okay. Got it.” Eliana didn’t dwell on something so minor. After saying that, she turned and walked into Theodore’s room.
Right after that, a loud bang came from inside. Eliana followed the sound and saw that Theodore was in the bathroom, and all the toiletries had been knocked to the floor–including the skincare products she had just placed there last night.
She quickly set the tray down and walked over. “Mr. Russell, what happened?”
Theodore didn’t respond, but the tension in his tall frame silently gave away his bad mood.
The next second, Eliana noticed a small cut on his left cheek, and it was bleeding. She froze and thought, ‘Does he have a habit of self–harm?”
But then she saw the razor clutched in his hand, and a thought suddenly flashed through her mind. She asked, “Were you trying to shave?”
Theodore’s back stiffened, and he snapped with a flash of embarrassment and
anger, “Get out.”
Once she realized he hadn’t been trying to hurt himself, Eliana let out a silent breath of relief. Then she gently reminded him, “You can’t see. Doing that by yourself is really dangerous.”
Theodore’s grip on the razor tightened all of a sudden. Furious, he shouted, “Get the hell
out.”
Eliana didn’t say anything else. She pulled a tissue from the box and lightly tapped the back of his hand.
She knew how much pride he had and figured he wouldn’t want her helping him stop the bleeding.
But Theodore wouldn’t even accept the tissue she offered. He wiped the blood off his left cheek with the back of his hand and let out a cold laugh. “Pretty pathetic, huh? You married a blind man who can’t even take care of himself.”
Eliana lowered her eyes slightly. “No, that’s not what I think.”
It wasn’t like she’d married him for nothing. When she thought about the terms Hudson had promised her before she married Theodore, she felt her sacrifice was worth it.
Theodore said with a mocking tone, “No? How noble of you.”
Eliana figured he was just in a bad mood and tried to shift to something more cheerful. “Anyway, Lainey agreed to let me install a floor–to–ceiling window in the room.”
To her surprise, Theodore snapped, “What, you two are on a first–name basis now?”
Eliana glanced at the razor in his hand, afraid he might turn it on her in a rage. She took a step back and asked, “Then what should I call her Mrs. Russell?”
Theodore scoffed, “Mrs. Russell? She doesn’t deserve that title.”
Eliana didn’t want to argue with him. No matter what she said, Theodore would never be satisfied. “Anyway, I’ll have the renovation crew come by on Saturday. It might be a bit noisy, so I hope you can bear with it,” she remarked,
Theodore lifted his chin. “And if I don’t?”

Faced with his provocation, Ellana finally couldn’t hold back. She shot back bluntly, Then you’re just making things hardere
You’re not some rat living in a sewer. Why surround yourself with garbage and darkness every day?
For a moment, Theodore thought he must’ve misheard her. But seconds later, he exploded with a furious roar. “Eliana, did you enously just do the
me?”
