My father and Julian both breathed a sigh of relief.
They thought I had given in.
“However, I have a condition,” I said slowly, looking at them.
My father frowned. “What new tricks are you trying to pull now?”
“I want half of Sterling Corp.’s shares,” I stated my demand calmly. “As soon as the share transfer agreement is signed, I’ll go give blood.”
“You’re crazy!” My father roared in fury. “You’re taking advantage of the situation!”
“Yes,” I admitted frankly. “I am taking advantage. You can choose not to give in, then you’ll
just watch her die on the operating table.”
My gaze swept over Julian’s shocked face as I added, “Or, you can go find your Sierra
Maxwell and see if she’s willing to donate blood for Chloe.”
Julian’s face instantly went white.
Sierra Maxwell also had a rare blood type, but aside from him and me, the Sterling family
didn’t know about it.
“You… how did you know…” He stammered, unable to form words.
My father sensed something was wrong and eyed Julian suspiciously.
“Who is Sierra Maxwell?”
“Mr. Sterling, don’t listen to her nonsense! I’m not close with her!” Julian quickly tried to
distance himself.
I ignored them, turning to leave.
“Come find me when the agreement is ready.”
My father roared in frustration behind me.

Less than half a day later, my father’s lawyer came to find me with the share transfer
agreement.
Half of Sterling Corp.’s assets now belonged to me.
Chloe’s blood exchange was scheduled for the next day. To showcase the Sterling
family’s “fatherly love and sisterly affection,” my father specifically invited the media.
He wanted to stage a deeply moving drama in front of the entire city.
The next day, I was led to a VIP hospital room, countless flashlights aimed at me.
I wore a hospital gown, sitting on the edge of the bed, a transfusion tube inserted into my
arm.
Just as the nurse was about to begin drawing blood, the hospital room door was violently pushed open.
Hunter Thorne, with a group of people, appeared at the doorway.
