While Lucas was being rushed to emergency, Olivia went crazy kicking and hitting me outside the hospital room.
She kicked me with her pointed high heels, hit my head with her purse, slapped my face with her sharp fake nails.
I didn’t make a sound, until Lucas walked out.
His head was wrapped in bandages, his face pale from blood loss.
Seeing Lucas, Olivia immediately abandoned me and rushed over to him worriedly.
“Lucas, Lucas, are you okay?”
Lucas didn’t speak. His gaze passed over Olivia and landed on me.
My face was covered in injuries, but my expression was calm.

I looked up at him and said softly: “Do you understand now? Making others suffer won’t quench your thirst. The person you really want to punish is yourself.”
Before I finished speaking, Olivia had already rushed over and kicked me hard.
I fell to my knees in an awkward position, but my eyes remained fixed on Lucas without blinking.
Olivia didn’t notice my gaze.
She hugged Lucas, looking at his wounds with reddened eyes.
“Lucas, you’ve suffered so much. I won’t let anyone hurt you again. I’ve hired an expensive American
caretaker…”
Lucas was pulled away by Olivia towards the hospital room.
But I could feel it.
His gaze remained on me the entire time.

Olivia wouldn’t allow hospital fire me.
I had hurt her beloved Lucas. Mere dismissal was too light a punishment in her eyes.
“Make her clean the toilets,” she ordered.
All dozen or so toilets in the entire hospital became my responsibility.
Olivia would bring people to dump entire buckets of paint on the floors I had just cleaned.
“There, clean it up,” she’d say.
The paint dried quickly, impossible to scrub off.
She had people shove my head towards the floor: “Can’t clean it? Then lick it!”
The acrid smell of paint stung my nose.
My eyes immediately turned red.

Ethan, I’m so happy.
Before this, do you know how afraid I was?
I was afraid Olivia only wanted money, or the status of being Mrs. Lu.
If that were the case, no amount of revenge would be more than a boring game with no real impact.
But now I know.
Olivia truly loves Lucas.
Loves him enough to forgive him again and again, loves him enough to endure violence and pain
and still not leave him, loves him enough to make him her entire world.
This is wonderful.
Taking away someone’s entire world brings me far more joy than simply killing them.
Olivia didn’t realize my eyes were red from excitement.
She thought I had finally broken under the torment.
Crouching down smugly, she poked my forehead with her sharp nails:
“Let me tell you, if Lucas wasn’t still in the hospital, if I wasn’t considering public opinion and didn’t want to cause more trouble, your punishment would be far worse than this.””
Olivia left with her lackeys.
I lay on the bathroom floor, laughing silently.
Poor Olivia. She was a normal person.
Only normal people would talk about “considering public opinion.” In the dictionary of us lunatics,
there’s only only “I want, I don’t care, I get.”
I got up, admiring Olivia’s beautiful retreating figure.
A normal woman, loving a man like Lucas so deeply.

She was absolutely doomed.
Olivia had no idea she was doomed.
She happily accompanied Lucas.
They walked hand in hand in the small garden, looking like the perfect couple straight out of a TV
drama.
But Olivia couldn’t spend all her time at the psychiatric facility. She still had to help manage Lucas’s companies on the outside.
On the days Olivia wasn’t there, Lucas was cared for by those expensive hired caretakers.
They were like Olivia’s hands and eyes –
Caring for Lucas, but also watching him.
Watching to make sure he didn’t hurt anyone, watching to make sure he cooperated with treatment, watching to make sure he kept a proper schedule.
Olivia wanted Lucas to get better so badly, but she didn’t realize this approach would backfire.
Sure enough, just a week later, the beast caged in iron bars was let loose.
Lucas broke the ribs of a caretaker who had forced him to exercise, threatening to report to Olivia if
he didn’t go.
The doctors frantically called out as they rushed the caretaker to emergency: “Quick, notify Miss
Gu…”
“I dare you to try!” Lucas kicked the door viciously.
Silence fell.
The doctors looked at each other, all at a loss for what to do.
Lucas stared at the blood stains on the floor.

He said: “Isn’t Rachel still here?”
“Let her take care of me.”
