Grace felt a sense of inner peace just after Zackery’s confession.
She hummed a cheerful tune as she prepared dinner in the kitchen.
The doorbell rang urgently.
The moment she opened the door, the smile on her face froze instantly.
Standing outside the door was Evelyn.
The once proud and malicious young lady, at this moment, appeared cautious, completely disheveled and in tatters, with her clothes torn and her hair messily scattered across her face.
Grace reflexively tried to close the door, but was stopped by Evelyn reaching out her hand.
The door got stuck on her hand, causing her to scream in pain.
Grace looked indifferent.
“Are you still daring to come?”
Evelyn smirked disdainfully.
“You and Antonio have a good relationship now, but do you know that the things online were done by him giving me money?”
Grace’s heart sank suddenly, and she watched Evelyn quietly, waiting for her next words.
“In fact, the rumors that defame you online were all spread by Antonio’s hired internet trolls.”

“From account content to pictures and videos, our family has gone bankrupt, so there is no longer such abundance.”
“He wanted to ruin your reputation, so that you would come back to him. He promised me that if I helped him, he would lend a hand when the White family faced difficulties.”
Doubt flickered in Grace’s eyes.
Evelyn sneered and continued speaking.

Evelyn’s eyes were filled with mockery.
“You thought, where would I get so much money to hire a water army, relying on me working in a restaurant?”
Grace’s eyes filled with anger as she knew Antonio was cunning, yet he repeatedly crossed her boundaries.
She focused her mind and asked Evelyn in return.

A complex mix of emotions flickered in Evelyn’s eyes, including anger, regret, and a hint of relief.

“I hated Antonio, he ruined everything for me. I don’t want him to succeed, I want you to know his true face.”
“I also hated you, if I had married Zackery, the White family wouldn’t have gone bankrupt.”
“So, I didn’t want any of you to feel good.”
After saying that, Evelyn gave Grace a deep look and then turned and left.
Grace stood still, her emotions incredibly complex. She had thought she had already reconciled with Antonio, and with the past, but it turned out to be another conspiracy.
In less than half an hour, Antonio arrived at the door.
His forehead had a hint of sweat, and his voice was slightly breathless.
“Grace, listen to me, please.”
“The matter with Evelyn… I did consider it at the time, but later on, really didn’t want to hurt you, so I backed off.”
Grace looked at him disappointedly.
“Antonio, you disgusted people with your hypocrisy.”
Antonio’s eyes flickered, and finally turned into a sigh.
He rubbed his hair in frustration for the first time.
