Amber’s POV)
My phone rang just as I stepped out of my car in front of the Monnight Club on Prosperity Boulevard. I glanced at the screen and sighed. Father.
“Hello?” Lanswered, trying to keep the imitation from my voler.
“Amber,” my father’s deep voice came through the speaker, “I want you and Dominic to come for dinner at the pack house.”
I paused, considering the request. “I’ll agree, but only if you complete the transfer of the Chase Pack North territorial rights you promised me.”
There was a brief silence on the other end. “Pack matters should remain separate from family matters,” Harrison said firmly. ‘ Just come home first. We have much to discuss.”
Cora, my wolf, stirred uneasily within me. She didn’t trust my father’s evasiveness.
“Fine,” I conceded. “We’ll be there.”
After hanging up. I walked toward the Moonlight Photography Studio, my heart swelling with gratitude for Dominic. The occupied two adjacent two–story buildings next to the Moonlight Club.

These properties were compensation for Dominic’s help in freeing me from Ethan. But he had surprised me by transforming them into my new studio and a dessert store,
The dessert store was especially thoughtful. Paige had mentioned my sweet tooth to Dominic, and he’d remembered.
I pushed open the door to inspect the studio one final time before 15 grand opening. The design perfectly matched my tastes, secretly modeled after my old studio and incorporating elements from my personal sketches.
Paige had been in on the surprise. She’d deliberately tested me, prompting me to unconsciously mention things I didn’t like to ensure the final design would be perfect.
The grand opening was scheduled for my birthday, during the Spring Moon Festival. I found the date ironic, as my birthdays ha always been unfortunate affairs.

I had waited more than half a month, until the last day of March, before finally confirming that Amber and Dominic would be coming for dinner tomorrow. The anticipation had me pacing the length of our dining room
“Make sure everything is perfect,” I instructed the omega servants preparing the meal “And hide my valuables. Amber has a habit of finding my prized collectibles and claiming them as hero.”
One of the servants nodded nervously. “Yes, Alpha Chase. ”
Melanie entered the room, her face pinched with annoyance. “She’s definitely coming I checked her social media.”
She thrust her phone at me, displaying Amber’s latest post: “Going home tomorrow to hunt old alphas, +10,000 happiness.”

1had expected Dominic to decline my father’s dinner invitation. To my surprise, he readily agreed.
“I have something to discuss with Harrison,” he said, his blue eyes revealing nothing of his intentions.
This intrigued me, but I decided not to press. Instead, I formulated my own plan: agree to whatever Harrison proposed at dinner, then use April Fool’s Day as an excuse to back out.
It was perfect timing. By waiting until the night before April Fool’s Day to inform Harrison of our acceptance, I’d given him little time to strategize.
After posting my deliberately provocative social media update, I sat back and imagined which of my father’s treasures I might claim for my studio. His Moonlight Tea series would look magnificent on display, and those ancient werewolf paintings would add just the right touch of history.
