Monday. Simon went to school, and Isabel had a few classes at the University of Ardenfall.
Everyone went about their own business.
Hannah stayed at home, tending to the fields, feeding the pigs, and taking care of the household.
Alex lost his job due to a construction site incident and now was stuck at home with nothing to do.
In the afternoon, he brought in some water and sponged Blake down.
Hannah told him that from now on, he should be the one to do the sponging.
After all, Isabel Clyde was an unmarried girl, and it wouldn’t be appropriate for her to be frequently seeing a man’s body.
Though Alex wasn’t that bright, he was very serious about his work.
He sponged Blake down with great care.
“Alex, you don’t have to sponge me down every day. Didn’t you just do it yesterday?” Blake said, a little embarrassed.
He thought he was always troubling Alex.
“No problem,” Alex said simply. “My sister told me to do this. She said you should be clean every day.”
“Anyway, I have nothing to do at home. I’m too stupid and lost my job.”
Blake was touched by the Galvez family’s kindness. He vowed to himself that once he was better, he would repay them.
“Who said you lost your job?” Isabel suddenly entered.
Blake’s eyes lit up when he saw Isabel.
“Isabel, you’re back.”

“Yes, I came right after class. Come on, Alex, let’s go to the construction site.”
“To the construction site? Wasn’t I fired?” Alex was puzzled.
“Just come with me.”
Alex was very happy to hear that he could go back.
He quickly got ready to leave with Isabel.
Isabel knew that Alex had been moping around the house, feeling useless and full of self–blame.
It was better to send him back to work. That way, he would feel like his life had more meaning.
The place they came to was still the construction site of Sunpeak Construction.
As soon as Isabel and Alex appeared, someone went to inform Joseph. And Joseph came over with his men.
“Humph! Isabel, Alex, you still dare to show up in front me. Are you having a death wish?” Joseph asked sharply.

Chapter 25
Seeing this, Alex quickly stretched out his arms and stood in front of Isabel, determining to protect Isabel.
Isabel saw it all. Though Alex was a bit slow–witted, he was truly kind to her. Much better than those five heartless brothers of the Clyde family.
“Joseph, you have no right to speak here.” Isabel said to him.
“Haha!” Joseph laughed loudly. “Am I hearing this right? You’ve come to my territory and you’re saying I have no right? Who do you think you are? You really think you’re something?”
“Come on, beat them up! Don’t worry. No cameras around. I’ve removed them all. Death on me. They’re asking for it. This is my territory.” Joseph gritted his teeth and ordered.
“Say that again, who’s territory is it?” Suddenly, a middle–aged woman’s voice came.
Everyone made way.
The woman was dressed in a black, exquisitely embroidered dress. Her hair was slightly curled, her makeup heavy, and her fiery red lips were particularly striking.
Several bodyguards in black cleared the way for her. The aura was imposing.
“Who… Who are you?” Joseph asked, a little scared.
The bodyguard beside the woman said, “This is Mrs. Luther, the wife of Mr. Luther of Sunpeak Construction.”
Joseph’s face turned pale instantly.
The lackey beside him said, “Mr. Wales, isn’t this your sister?”
Everyone on the construction site knew that Joseph was the brother–in–law of Benjamin Luther, the CEO of Sunpeak Construction.
No one dared to mess with him.
“Humph! Sister? I don’t have such a stupid brother.” Mrs. Luther said loudly.
The people around started whispering.
“How is that possible? Isn’t Mr. Wales CEO Luther’s brother–in–law?”
“Yes, everyone knows that.”
Mrs. Luther sneered, “Someone, beat him up! Teach this fool a good lesson.”
The bodyguards beside Mrs. Luther stepped forward and walked towards Joseph.
“You… Don’t come here. My sister is CEO Luther’s woman.” Joseph said in fear.
“Who is your sister? You mean that temptress? How dare the brother of a mistress be so arrogant? You’re never amount to anything.
“I am Mrs. Luther. This entire construction site belongs to my family. Since when did the Wales family start calling the shots?”
After Mrs. Luther finished speaking, she glanced at the lackey beside Joseph Wales.

“Whoever dares to help Joseph will be beaten up kicked out of the construction site. They’ll never work here again.”
The aura of Mrs. Luther was strong. Instantly, everyone fell silent.
Joseph Wales‘ lackeys all backed away, keeping their distance from him.
He’s just the mistress’s brother. His arrogance won’t last long.
Mrs. Luther was the legitimate wife, so it wasn’t an exaggeration to say that half of Sunpeak Construction belonged to her.
The mistress was nothing. She has no inheritance rights.
Let alone the mistress’s brother. He was barely even related.
“What are you waiting for? Go get him!” Mrs. Luther ordered, her arms crossed.
The bodyguards swarmed forward and rained blows upon Joseph.
This time, they would make him taste the same bitterness.
Mrs. Luther’s actions unexpectedly drew praise from the construction workers, and a round of applause broke out..
“Well done, Mrs. Luther!”
“It’s about time! That Joseph Wales always relies on being Mr. Luther’s brother–in–law, bullying us!”
“That’s right! He even docked our pay. We were mad but didn’t dare say anything.”
“Last time, he even sent someone to beat me up over the pay. What a jerk!”
“So he’s just the mistress’s brother? We thought he really had connections!”
Everyone cheered for Mrs. Luther.
Mrs. Luther hadn’t expected to gain so much support.
Joseph was beaten half to death.
Mrs. Luther turned to look at Isabel and Alex.
“Miss Clyde, Mr. Clyde, I’m so sorry. I’ve heard about what happened. It was all that jerk’s own doing. I didn’t know anything about it. I’ve already taught him a lesson for you.”
Mrs. Luther was very polite, her words gracious.
She could be assertive, yet gentle, reasonable, and skilled. She was truly a member of high society.
“Thank you, Mrs. Luther.” Isabel responded politely,
Joseph had been beaten up, and he immediately went to his brother–in–law, Benjamin Luther.
Seeing this, Benjamin immediately slapped him.
“Benjamin, why. why did you hit me?” Joseph didn’t understand.

“It’s all your fault! Why did you have to go after a fool at the construction site? You even attracted my wife! You still have the face to come to me?”
“Didn’t you give him the face?” Mrs. Luther entered.
“Honey…” Benjamin was still a little afraid of his wife.
“Honey, I know I was wrong. It was all this jerk’s doing. I had no idea.”
“Too late.” Mrs. Luther said indifferently.
Immediately afterward, a group of people arrived with much bustling and fanfare.
“Mr. Luther, Mrs. Luther.” the man said, a smirk playing on his lips.
“You… You are…”
“Oceania Group, Chris Jovian.”
