Chapter 109
Dillan never expected that just mentioning the name “Master Cameron” would make Chace react so strongly.
‘Who is this Master Cameron?‘ Dillan wondered. ‘With my limited knowledge, someone like him is completely out of my league. I’ve never even heard of
him before.‘
“Of course, I know Master Cameron,” Dillan said with feigned mystery when Chace inquired. “If I didn’t know him, why would I even bring him up to you?”
Chace got it right away. When he’d sought funding from Master Cameron, no one else knew. Without hesitation, he said to Dillan, “Mr. Sheppard, given your connection to Master Cameron, if you want to mortgage your company, we’ll go ahead with 1.6 million dollars.”
All of this was only possible because of Master Cameron.
Dillan’s eyes widened in astonishment. The mere mention of a name was enough to make Chace offer such substantial concessions.
They quickly finalized the mortgage paperwork.
Dillan’s eyes gleamed with calculation as he casually fished for information. He asked, “Mr. Pearson, have you ever met Master Cameron? How did you two get acquainted?”
Mr. Pearson said, “Truthfully, I’ve never met Master Cameron. He’s such a mysterious and legendary figure. Someone like me wouldn’t be worthy of meeting him. I just asked a friend to pass on my situation, and Master Cameron kindly offered to help.”
Dillan’s expression shifted. He thought, ‘Could there really be someone this legendary?‘
Even after walking out of the bank with the mortgage loan from Chace in hand, Dillan still felt lightheaded, barely able to believe his luck.
Dillan marveled, ‘Can Master Cameron’s name really carry that much weight?‘
Back home, he immediately searched online for Master Cameron, only to discover there wasn’t a single verifiable sighting of the man.
Suddenly, a strange idea popped into his head. He immediately called Sylvia and asked, “Sylvia, do you know Master Cameron?”
Sylvia replied casually, “No, I don’t. What’s up?”

Of course, Sylvia wasn’t about to admit she was Master Cameron. She had merely leveraged some of the connections out of necessity.
Little did Sylvia know that Dillan was hatching a devious plan. After probing for information and realizing she knew little about Master Cameron, Dillan ended the call with a sly smile.
Dillan thought, ‘If nobody knows who Master Cameron is, why can’t I just be him?‘
That evening, after picking Ruby up from preschool, Sylvia went straight into the kitchen to start making dinner.
Ruby lay on the couch, playing on her tablet.
Accidentally stumbling into a livestream, Ruby cried out in surprise, “Mommy, someone’s pretending to be you.”
Sylvia took off her apron and walked out of the kitchen. She settled onto the couch and looked at the livestream Ruby was pointing at.
To her shock, the livestreamer was none other than Dillan.
“Mom, he’s pretending to be Master Cameron. That’s so mean. You’re the real Master Cameron.” Ruby pouted angrily.
Sylvia frowned, picked up the tablet, and scrutinized the livestream.

In the livestream, Dillan sat behind his desk, spinning wild stories to his viewers with dramatic flair.
After realizing that no one actually knew who Master Cameron was, Dillan decided to impersonate him in livestreams to scam viewers out of their money. Sure enough, the donations came pouring in.
He just scavenged stories from the internet, but he spun them so vividly that his audience
hung on every word.
“Don’t mind him.” Sylvia gently turned off Ruby’s tablet, picked her up, and carried her to the dining room. “Let’s go have dinner.”
Sylvia thought, ‘If you want to ruin someone, drive them insane first.
‘I’ll let Dillan borrow Master Cameron’s name for now. When the time is right, I’ll settle the score with him.”
Dillan was doing all this for Joanna.
From the very first glance at Joanna, he was instantly smitten by her.
However, he knew Joanna came from a privileged background, and winning her heart wouldn’t be easy.
That was why he decided to impersonate Master Cameron.
He schemed that once Sylvia’s company was established, his dual role as chairman and the legendary persona of Master Cameron might finally make him worthy of Joanna.
The next day, Sylvia arrived on set as usual.
Lately, Angel’s acting had improved by leaps and bounds. With Zander’s guidance, she’d been delivering outstanding performances in every scene.
“Sylvia, are you free for lunch? Would you like to join me?” asked Zander.
After finishing his scene, Zander walked over with a warm smile. His penetrating gaze and chiseled features radiated gentle charm, making him look exceptionally dashing.
He had never been so taken with a woman before. Every time he got near Sylvia, his heart would race uncontrollably.
The once aloof and untouchable a–lister now seemed more like a slightly bashful young man. He was nervous and afraid of being rejected.
“Sure.” Since Sylvia didn’t need to pick up Ruby at noon, she readily agreed.
“Sylvia, didn’t we say we’d have lunch together? You promised.” Angel also rushed over right after finishing shooting her scene.
Angel was on good terms with Zander. She playfully nudged him aside and sat next to Sylvia. With a playful pout, she tugged at Sylvia’s arm and said, “You can’t go back on your word.”

clicked. Angel just wanted a free meal.
Ever since Angel found out that Sylvia was Master Cameron, her attitude toward Sylvia changed completely.
Whenever Angel had free time, she loved sticking close to Sylvia. After all, Sylvia was her idol.
“Then let’s all have lunch together,” Sylvia said with a helpless smile. Unable to turn down either of them, this seemed like the only fair solution.
Zander and Angel exchanged a glance and shared a wry smile.
Both of them had hoped to dine with Sylvia alone, but since she’d already made the suggestion, neither could object. Exchanging a resigned look, they headed back to filming together.
“Sylvia, I knew I’d find you here.” Just as Sylvia picked up her phone to book a restaurant, Joanna unexpectedly pulled up in her car.

Sylvia stood up from her chair, frowning in annoyance, “What are you doing here?”
“Sylvia, I just realized this movie was funded by Master Cameron. No wonder you landed a spot in the cast. So Master Cameron is actually Dillan,” said
Joanna,
Clearly, Joanna had also seen Dillan’s livestream last night.
Joanna was stunned. She never imagined Dillan had been hiding such a deep secret. He was actually the legendary Master Cameron.
This only confirmed what Dillan had told her before.
In Joanna’s mind, Sylvia owed all her current success to Dillan.
Sylvia simply smiled knowingly, choosing not to expose Dillan’s lie.
Joanna asked with feigned casualness, her eyes gleaming with smug triumph, “Dillan has a press conference at the hotel today. Did he invite you?”
Sylvia shrugged nonchalantly. “Not yet.”
“Dillan invited me,” Joanna said, lifting her chin with a smug smile. “Do you want to come along and check it out?”
‘So that’s her game. She’s just here to show off,‘ Sylvia thought to herself.
Sylvia instantly saw through Joanna’s little act. With a subtle glint in her eyes, she agreed without hesitation.
“Well then,” Sylvia said, “I’ll tag along and see what this is all about.”
‘Let’s see how this fake Master Cameron tries to talk his way out of this in front of the reporters,‘ Sylvia thought with amusement.
