When Sylvia called Dillan, the press conference he had staged himself had just wrapped up. It wasn’t long before Dillan drove over.
Sylvia waited quietly by the restaurant entrance. Spotting Dillan’s arrival, she strode over with an icy expression and demanded, “Did you bring the renovation money?”
Dillan glanced back at the car following hint and hastily handed Sylvia the 1.6–million–dollar check from the mortgage company.
The car behind was Joanna’s. She had come with Dillan.
Dillan said, “Don’t let Joanna know I covered your company’s renovation costs.”
Dillan had always been image–conscious. Including this renovation payment and the previous 650 thousand dollars in rent, he had spent a total of 2.25 million dollars.
He’d scraped together the money through mortgages and online loans. The last thing he wanted was for Joanna to think he was some kind of sucker.
Sylvia smiled faintly, a hint of mockery flashing through her mind. ‘How ironic. That seemingly simple and honest Dillan has now become so image- conscious and apparently smitten with Joanna,‘ she thought.
But this suited her plans perfectly. Only by tying Joanna to Dillan’s side would things get truly interesting.
Sylvia might as well take down both of them together.
Joanna stepped out of the car, a smug smile on her face. She was here to mock Sylvia.
Joanna smirked and said, “Sylvia, Dillan told me you used to be the maid in his house.”
Hearing this, Dillan broke into a cold sweat and shot Sylvia a nervous glance,
Actually, everything he’d achieved in recent years was made possible by Sylvia’s support.
At the press conference, he claimed Sylvia was his maid out of desperation. Otherwise, his impersonation of Master Cameron would have been exposed.
“That’s right. It’s true.” Sylvia gave Dillan a knowing look but didn’t expose his lie.
Dillan let out a long sigh of relief, thinking, ‘Sylvia must still care about me. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have covered for me.‘
Joanna’s eyes sparkled with admiration as she looked at Dillan/She thought, ‘Even Sylvia admitted it. So everything Dillan said must be true.‘
Sylvia smirked inwardly, ‘Only if Joanna completely falls for Dillan’s act will she lend him money without hesitation when he comes asking in the future.‘
Sylvia thought the crisis was over after vouching for Dillan’s identity and was about to leave when a limited–edition Audi sedan suddenly sped toward them. Her expression shifted abruptly.
‘How did these guys track me down here?‘ Sylvia thought, a flicker of alarm crossing her mind.
The people in the car were actually her overseas film crew.
To expand her film business here, Sylvia had specifically summoned them back from overseas.
But she never expected them to track her down here.
They’d crossed oceans with both people and cars. Though the vehicle looked unremarkable here, even bearing temporary plates, it carried international prestige, for inside sat none other than a top–tier Hollywood film crew.
They had all signed employment contracts with Sylvia long ago.

Chapter 112
With a smooth glide, the Audi executive sedan pulled up to the restaurant entrance. The doors swung open, and a couple of imposing men stepped out
Joanna noticed a car suddenly pull up. She looked up, her eyes widening in shock.
Among them were Jaxon Knapp, a renowned screenwriter and award–winning Hollywood writer, and Suan Morales, a top–tier film producer. And…
Having been around showbiz for years, Joanna could instantly recognize true heavyweights when she saw them. Each of these people carried enough influence to cause a major stir, not just at home, but even in Hollywood.
Joanna thought, ‘What on earth are they all doing gathered here?‘
“Master Cameron!” The moment they
the team snapped to attention, their voices ringing out in perfect unison with professional respect.
Sylvia’s expression shifted slightly. She thought, ‘Everyone thinks Dillan is Master Cameron right now. Wouldn’t they just expose him?
‘I have no intention of letting Dillan get exposed this soon.
‘If Joanna saw through Dillan in an instant and realized he is just a pathological liar, he’d be worthless to her. Naturally, she’d cut ties with him. No way would she stay tied to a sinking ship like that.’
Joanna’s head snapped toward Sylvia, her mind buzzing.
She wondered, ‘What the hell? Why are they calling Sylvia Master Cameron?
‘Isn’t Dillan supposed to be Master Cameron?‘
Dillan was frozen in shock, cold sweat pouring down his back.
He didn’t expect his Master Cameron disguise to be blown so soon.
At the same time, he instinctively glanced at Sylvia, wondering, ‘Are they calling Sylvia Master Cameron? Could it be…
Sylvia feigned surprise and exclaimed, “Oh, so you really are Master Cameron, Dillan? They’ve all come to see you.”
Sylvia’s mind raced as she turned to Dillan with a convincingly startled expression.
Dillan was even more bewildered. He didn’t recognize a single one of these people. They all looked so important. Obviously, they were people of influence. And even if he did know them, he wasn’t even Master Cameron.
Joanna shot Dillan a suspicious look. ‘Did I mishear just now? Are they really calling him Master Cameron?” she wondered, her mind swirling with doubt.
The group standing by the Audi executive sedan exchanged confused glances. They thought, ‘We were clearly calling Sylvia. So why did she suddenly insist someone else was Master Cameron?‘
Just as the group was about to speak up, Sylvia shot them a meaningful look, a silent command to play along.
These Hollywood veterans were no fools. In an instant, they grasped Sylvia’s silent cue.
Though still unclear about Sylvia’s intentions, they all subtly shifted their stance toward Dillan and, in perfect uni

This greeting sent Dillan over the moon. He thought, ‘So they’ve been calling for me all along.
‘I’d looked up Master Cameron online before, practically nobody had ever laid eyes on him. These big shots in front of me might look impressive, but it’s obvious they’ve never met the real Master Cameron either.
‘My press conference this morning had convinced them I was Master Cameron, so they came looking for me.‘
Joanna was absolutely thrilled. Sh
never expected Dillan to have such powerful connections. Those standing before her were none other than

Hollywood’s A–list film crew.
Joanna thought excitedly, ‘If I get Dillan to help me, could I actually make it in Hollywood?”
Dillan straightened his suit and asked, “So, what brings you all here to see me?”
He had no clue why these people had come looking for him.
The group exchanged uneasy glances. They were here for the newly established film branch, but that was hardly something they could explain to Defan After all, he wasn’t even the one they’d come to see.
Sylvia interjected with a smile, “So, are you all here to join Dillan?”
Since Sylvia had spoken, what else could they say?
The group exchanged glances and then nodded in unison. One of them spoke up, “That’s right, we’re here to join Mr. Sheppard.”
Joanna’s eyes widened as she turned to Dillan and exclaimed, “Dillan, do you even realize who these people are? They’re Hollywood heavyweights, an A list film crew!”
As Joanna introduced each person, a surge of excitement welled up in Dillan. He thought, ‘Who would’ve thought that pretending to be Master Cameron would land me such an incredible opportunity? This kind of luck really just fell into my lap!
‘They actually want to join me!‘
His excitement growing by the second, Dillan straightened up with pride and, in a commanding tone, said to Sylvia, “Sylvia, I have a task for you. Go rent the most luxurious conference center in Silverton. I want every major media outlet to witness this historic moment.”
Sylvia was slightly taken aback, wondering, ‘The most luxurious conference center?
‘Isn’t that the Blair Group’s Skyline Convention Center? That place covers a massive 16 acres!
‘But would Byron really be willing to lend this place?‘
