Sylvia’s company had recently gone viral across online platforms, signing deals after deals with top production teams and several international superstars.
However, Sylvia had no intention of having these international superstars develop their careers in Dranford, as the local cultural environment wasn’t suitable for them. So, the very next day, she personally went to the airport to see them off as they returned to their home countries.
On her way back to the office from the airport, Sylvia celebrity. She knew she needed to find a solution and fast.

As soon as Sylvia stepped into the company lobby, she spotted a
young woman waiting there.
The girl rushed over excitedly, her face beaming with excitement. “Sylvia, you’ve got your company now. Why didn’t you call me? Sign me up already.” It was Angel.

Sylvia chuckled, “Well, I was going to wait till you wrapped up this film before signing you. Didn’t expect you to be more antsy than me.”
“Of course, I’m in a hurry. You’re Master Cameron, after all.” Angel grabbed Sylvia’s hand. “Come on, let’s sign the contract. From now on, I’m all yours.”
The remark carried a flirtatious undertone, sending shivers down Sylvia’s spine. But then she remembered Angel was straight, and she breathed a sigh of
relief.
Sylvia personally drafted the contract, setting the signing bonus at a whopping 3 million dollars.
Angel stared at the digital document on the computer and quickly interjected, “Sylvia, the company’s just starting out. The signing bonus doesn’t need to be this high.”
Without hesitation, Angel promptly changed the amount from 3 million dollars to just 300 thousand dollars.
It was the first time Sylvia had ever seen a celebrity voluntarily lower the signing bonus. She said, “Angel, you’re already the leading lady now. That signing bonus is far too low for someone of your caliber.”
“Sylvia, Byron and my mom would be over the moon if I just stopped asking them for money,” Angel said without hesitation. “Besides, you’re the one who brought me into showbiz. I really can’t thank you enough.”
Sylvia nodded. “Alright then. If you do well, I’ll make sure your signing bonus goes up every year.”
The contract was promptly printed, and they officially signed the agreement.
Angel officially became the very first celebrity to sign with Sylvia’s agency.
“Angel, how’s filming going? Getting along well with Zander?” Sylvia asked warmly.
“Filming’s okay,” Angel pouted. “But Zander is kinda annoying.”
Angel was too embarrassed to tell Sylvia the real reason she found Zander annoying. She’d noticed him constantly checking Sylvia’s Instagram, especially the posts with Ruby, staring at them for ages with this ridiculously affectionate smile on his face.
At this thought, Angel couldn’t help feeling a pang of jealousy.
She thought, ‘I can’t shake the feeling that Zander is competing for Sylvia’s attention. Even though Sylvia isn’t part of the Blair family anymore, out of all the celebrities, I deserve to be the one closest to her.
‘And I’m Ruby’s aunt. Besides Sylvia, I should be the one closest to her. Zander better not try to butt in.‘

There was a knock of the offre door.
Angel was the first to reach the door. But the moment she cave who was notdife, her fiver instinct was in alam if slut
“Angel, what’s your problem? I’m here to see Sylvia. Why are you shutting the day as he pushed the door open.
Angel frowned and demanded, “Zander, what are you doing here?”

Zander was as poised and refined as ever, his every movement exuding an air of effortless elegance, a noble gentleman stopping out of s Renaissance portrait.
Zander cast a cool glance at Angel and said mildly, “If you can be here, why can’t I?”
Seeing that Angel and Zander were on the verge of another argument, Sylvia quickly ushered them to the sofa and poured coffee for both.
Sylvia asked, “Zander, is there something on your mind?”
Zander smiled, “My contract with the previous agency has expired. I’d like to sign with yours.”
“No way,” Angel immediately protested. “I just signed with Sylvia. Why do you have to follow suit?”
‘I can’t let Zander get too close to Sylvia, Angel thought. ‘This has nothing to do with Byron. I’m just plain jealous.
Zander looked at Angel in surprise. “Wait? You actually signed with Sylvia?”
“So what?” Angel crossed her legs with a smug grin.
Zander gave a wry smile and turned to Sylvia. “So, Sylvia, since even Angel has signed with you, I have all the more reason to join your agency too, don’t

“Of course.” Sylvia’s heart leapt with joy as she wondered, ‘Zander is a famous a–lister. Signing him would be a major coup for my agency.
Seeing Zander about to sign with Sylvia, Angel immediately grabbed her contract and waved it in front of him. “Hey Zander, my signing bonus is only 300 thousand dollars. Think you can handle that?” she said with a smug grin.
Zander said impassively, “I can waive the signing bonus altogether.”
For Zander, just one movie paycheck was worth way more than any signing bonus. He couldn’t care less about that kind of money.
Sylvia thought for a moment and said, “Zander, if you’re willing to forgo the signing bonus, I can offer you a higher share of the profits instead.”
She quickly printed out a contract. There was no signing bonus, but Zander would receive the lion’s share of all future film earnings, with the company only taking a minimal percentage
This kind of arrangement was practically unheard of in the film industry.
At noon, Sylvia treated Zander and Angel to lunch.
Currently, Zander and Angel were the only two celebrities signed to the agency. Both wanted to help Sylvia recruit more talent, but most celebrities were already under contract elsewhere, and some just didn’t think much of Sylvia’s fledgling company.
Sylvia spent the entire day at her agency.
That afternoon, an unexpected visitor showed up at her office.
“Byron, perfect timing. I was just about to look for you,” said Sylvia.
Chapter 143
The man who entered was Byron, clad in a tailor–fit charcoal gray suit that accentuated his lean, statuesque frame. His impeccably knarred the land en white shirt completed a look of polished sophistication.
At this moment, a faint trace of worry lingered between his brows, his deep–set eyes holding secrets untold.
With a faint smile, he asked, “Oh? What’s it?”
Sylvia hesitated, looked at him, and said, “You seem to have something on your mind too. Why
don’t you go first?”
Tomorrow was Children’s Day, and Sylvia had planned to discuss with Byron about taking the two kids out, since they had been begging her for days.
Byron sank into the sofa, paused for a moment, and said with visible reluctance, “I’m here about Joanna.
“Joanna invested quite a bit of money in your company. I know she brought this on herself, but I still hope you can return the money to her,”
He was only here because Liana had pressured him into it.
Sylvia’s expression instantly turned cold at his words.
