Chapter 161
Freddy grew more and more curious about Sylvia’s identity. Ever since she arrived on set, everyone had become much friendlier toward him. Even Henry personally arranged a catered meal for him.
Freddy was really starving. He had rushed to Silverton that morning without eating a single bite at home, and now he was sprawled out in his chair, wolfing down his boxed lunch.
Sylvia went to the office to check on the crew’s recent financial expenditures. Before long, two young girls entered through the studio door.
One of the girls was Angel, the hot new actress making waves in the industry. With her pretty face, delicate skin, and clear, bright eyes beneath her eyebrows, she looked effortlessly elegant in a white tracksuit.
Though just a newcomer, she was already the leading lady of this production.
As for the girl in the red dress next to Angel, the moment Freddy recognized her, his face fell. He quickly ducked his head and focused on his lunch, hoping she wouldn’t notice him.
Yvonne Colon sneered, “Well, if it isn’t Freddy. I didn’t think you’d have the nerve to show up in Silverton.”
Though Freddy was deliberately trying to avoid Yvonne, her casual glance happened to spot him hunched over his boxed lunch.
Yvonne let out a few cold laughs and strode right over to him. “Look at you, quite the opportunist, scrounging free meals from the crew now?”
She was none other than Yvonne, the heiress of the Colon family and Freddy’s half–sister.
Wiping a grain of rice from the corner of his mouth, Freddy stood up and drawled, “What’s it to you if I’m here?”
Yvonne gave Freddy a scornful look and sneered, “Freddy, one word from me and you’re out of here.”
Freddy gave Yvonne a few puzzled glances, hesitating for a moment. ‘Could she be part of the cast or crew here?‘ he wondered.
Angel asked, “Hey, Yvonne, what’s going on?”
Angel and Yvonne had been close friends for years.
Today, Yvonne invited Angel to go shopping. Since Angel didn’t have any scenes to film that morning, she
went along and picked up a few things..
Once they were done shopping, Yvonne begged Angel to take her to the film set, and Angel agreed to bring her along.
“Angel, it’s nothing. I just ran into someone I know. You go ahead, I’ll have a quick word with him.” Yvonne flashed Angel a reassuring smile and waved
her off.
Angel paid no further attention. Instead, she began handing out the coffee she had just picked up outside to each crew member, one by one, her expression friendly and composed.
Yvonne smirked and said, “See her? That’s Angel, the star of this show. And she’s my best friend.”
Yvonne sized Freddy up and down with a sneer. “Freddy, look at your shabby outfit.
“You’re not here to steal, are you? If you don’t talk, I’ll tell Angel right away. Now, who brought you here and what are you doing here?”
Freddy hesitated before answering, “Sylvia told me to come.”
‘Since Sylvia knows the assistant director here, she’s got some pull. Maybe if Yvonne finds out I’m here because of Sylvia, she won’t be so harsh with me, Freddy thought.
Yvonne suddenly frowned. “Sylvia? Who’s that?” she asked suspiciously. “Wait? You don’t mean that woman who messed with Tamid yesterday, do you?
Chapter 161
Yesterday, Yvonne’s brother Tamid had gone to Freddy’s place to retrieve the will, but he came back beaten black and blue.
Tamid never told Yvonne the exact reason, but she vaguely caught him gritting his teeth and mentioning a woman’s name, Sylvia.
Freddy remained silent. Yvonne’s eyes went cold as her suspicions were confirmed.
She suddenly lunged forward, grabbed Freddy by the collar, and hissed through clenched teeth, “Call Sylvia out here right now, I want to see who the hell she thinks she is, daring to mess with the Colon family.”
Freddy tensed up immediately. From Yvonne’s tone, he realized that she didn’t give a damn about Sylvía at all.
He quickly blurted out, “No, you misheard. I didn’t say anything.”
Freddy straightened his clothes and, almost on instinct, started to slip away. He didn’t want to cause any trouble for Sylvia.
But just then, Sylvia emerged from the nearby office.
Seeing Freddy about to leave, Sylvia called out, “Hey Freddy, where are you off to? Now that you’ve eaten, why not start by working as an extra or a production assistant here? We’ll see about a suitable role for you when one comes up.”
Freddy flinched, quickly glancing back at Sylvia and shooting her a few urgent looks. ‘Please, just pretend you don’t know me, he silently pleaded.
But Sylvia totally missed his hint and walked straight over instead.
Yvonne sized her up coldly. “You’re Sylvia?”
Sylvia gave her a puzzled look and asked, “Who are you?”
Once Yvonne confirmed it was Sylvia standing before her, she didn’t hesitate. Her hand shot out, landing a sharp slap across Sylvia’s face.
Yvonne sneered, “Who do you think you are to ask who I am?”
Instantly, Sylvia’s eyes narrowed. Though Yvonne moved fast, Sylvia could have slapped her back, or snapped her wrist in a heartbeat.
But before Sylvia could react, Freddy came charging in from the side and rammed into Yvonne, sending her stumbling away.
Sylvia had helped both Freddy and his mother. There was no way he could just stand by and watch her get bullied.
Yvonne staggered from the blow, taking a moment to steady herself. When she finally regained her balance, her face twisted with fury. “Freddy, you must
have a death wish.
“After the Colon family banished you to the countryside, you dare show up in Silverton again? And now you even dare lay hands on me?”
A faint smirk appeared on Sylvia’s lips. “So, you’re from the Colon family. Even if you are, this set doesn’t belong to your family. So what are you doing here, acting like you own the place?”
Freddy quickly came over, shook his head at Sylvia, and warned, “Don’t get into it with her. She’s best friends with Angel, the lead actress here. Trust me.
It’s not worth it.”
After hearing Freddy, Yvonne strutted over with her chin held high and sneered, “Let me make this clear, Sylvia. Angel is my

Gritting her teeth, Yvonne imperiously pointed at Sylvia and snapped, “If you know what’s good for you, bow right now and apologize.”
Sylvia’s brows knitted in displeasure. She never expected the Colon family heiress to have such appalling manners.
She turned sharply in a certain direction and called out coldly, “Angel, get over here.”
Angel, who had been discussing the script with the director, immediately hurried over at Sylvia’s call.
