Chapter 162
Angel frowned slightly at Yvonne’s words. “Yvonne, did you and Sylvia have a falling out?”
Wonne was now certain that Angel knew Sylvia. ‘Even better,‘ she thought. ‘Let’s see who
her answer.’
matters more to her, me or Sylvia. I’m absolutely confident in
Yvonne clung to Angel’s arm, feigning grievance. “Yeah, Angel, Sylvia didn’t just insult me. She even tried to hit me.”
..
With a wounded look, Yvonne clung tightly to Angel’s arm, pleading, “Angel, you have to stand up for me. We’ve been friends for so many years.
Standing off to the side, Sylvia smirked inwardly, ‘Yvonne really knows how to make things up.’
Freddy grew nervous, worried Angel might get the wrong idea about Sylvia. Pointing at Yvonne, he blurted out, “Don’t listen to her nonsense. Ms. Sullivan didn’t say or do anything to her. In fact, she tried to make Ms. Sullivan bow and apologize.”
Angel’s expression darkened instantly as she subtly disengaged her hand from Yvonne’s grasp.
Yvonne didn’t notice a thing and instead yelled at Freddy, “Freddy, who the hell do you think you are, telling me what to do here? Do you really think Angel will believe you?”
Freddy got a bit worked up. He quietly stepped back a few paces and stood protectively in front of Sylvía, lowering his voice to say, “Don’t worry. If anyone tries to mess with you, I won’t stand for it.”
Sylvia nodded with amusement. ‘Looks like Freddy is quite loyal. He must’ve been manipulated by Joanna before, and that’s why he tried to hurt me with that motorcycle.‘
Angel finally lost her temper and yanked Yvonne aside. “Yvonne, can you just shut up already? Enough with your nonsense.”
‘Is she out of her mind, saying Sylvia wants to hit her? If Sylvia really wanted to, would she even need to lift a finger?” Angel fumed inwardly. ‘Sylvia’s funding this whole production.
‘One word from her, and the staff here would throw Yvonne out in a heartbeat.‘
Yvonne, still in a daze, anxiously grabbed Angel’s hand. “Angel, don’t you believe me? Sylvia is a total bitch. Don’t let her fool you.”
Angel finally snapped. She’d tried to hold back for the sake of their years of friendship, hoping Yvonne would stop spouting nonsense, but Yvonne just kept running her mouth, getting more outrageous by the second. /
With a sharp crack, Angel slapped Yvonne hard across the face. ‘Shut up already.”
Yvonne pressed a hand to her stinging cheek, eyes wide with shock. “Angel, you actually hit me? Over Sylvia?
Freddy was stunned too. He never expected Angel to actually slap Yvonne. ‘Aren’t they supposed to be close friends?‘ he wondered.
“Yvonne, why don’t you take a good look at yourself in the mirror? How dare you compare yourself to Sylvia? Sylvia is my lifelong best friend. Who the hell do you think you are?” Angel showed no mercy.
She yanked Yvonne’s bag away and dumped everything out with a loud clatter in front of everyone.
She snapped, “Yvonne, you didn’t spend a single cent when we went shopping. All these bottles and jars? I bought them for you. A freeloader like you doesn’t even deserve to be called a friend.”
Yvonne’s face flushed crimson with embarrassment as she pleaded hurriedly, “Angel, please don’t be mad. My family’s been going through some financial difficulties lately. I swear, as soon as I have the money, I’ll pay you back.”
Sylvia shot Angel a displeased look and said sharply, “Angel, stop wasting your time with her. Just get her out of here.”

Yvonne snarled through gritted teeth, “Who the hell do you think you are, bossing Angel around?”
Angel shoved Yvonne away. “Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear Sylvia tell you to leave? We’re done here. A cheapskate like you doesn’t deserve on be my friend.”
Wonne was completely stunned. She never imagined Angel would obey Sylvia’s words so unquestioningly.
Just then, Henry noticed something was wrong and rushed over with seven or eight crew members. “Ms. Sullivan, what’s going on?*
“From now on, don’t let Yvonne set foot on this set again,” Sylvia said coolly, pointing at her.
Henry nodded promptly. “Understood, Ms. Sullivan.”
Yvonne rubbed her eyes in disbelief. ‘Even the crew listens to Sylvia?‘ she wondered.
Sylvia checked her phone for the time, then looked up at Henry and said coolly, “Give her just two minutes. If she’s still here after that, call the police and claim some valuables went missing from the set.”
Henry nodded in agreement, his gaze locked intently on Yvonne ahead.
Terrified out of her wits, Yvonne spun around and fled.
‘The whole crew must be under Sylvia’s spell. How else would they follow her every word without question?‘ Yvonne thought angrily.
“Angel, when Zander gets back, have him mentor Freddy and explain some filmmaking basics,” Sylvia instructed as her phone rang and she got ready to leave the set.
“Got it.” Angel nodded.
Freddy shot Sylvia a complicated look, his curiosity about her only growing. ‘Who exactly is she?‘ he wondered.
But then excitement quickly took over. Sylvia had just said that Zander would be arriving any minute now.
‘I’m actually going to meet my idol,’ he thought, barely able to contain his anticipation.
Sylvia left the set and headed straight for the Blair Group headquarters. Byron had texted her earlier.
Sylvía entered Byron’s office and got straight to the point. “Byron, you said you wanted to talk to me about Zack. What’s this about?”
Byron set down his files and strolled out from behind his desk, speaking casually, “If it weren’t about Zack, you wouldn’t even be here, right?”
“Obviously,” Sylvía shot back.
Sylvia immediately realized Byron had tricked her into coming here. He had no intention of discussing Zack. Without another word, she spun on her hee and headed straight for the door.
Byron’s handsome face darkened instantly as he swiftly stepped forward to block Sylvia’s path. With a mix of frustration and pleading, he said, “Sylvia, must you leave as soon as we meet? Can’t you be a little kinder to me?”
“Byron, are you ever going to stop? Do you really think it’s amusing to trick me into coming here?” Sylvia shot him an annoy
are.
If it weren’t for Zack, she wouldn’t want anything to do with Byron at all.
Byron hesitated for a moment before saying, “lasked you here because of the Colon family. My grandfather used to be close with Mr. Colon. “He’s critically ill and might not have much time left. I was hoping you could examine him.”
Wade Colon, Freddy’s father, had him late in life. A few years ago, he suddenly fell seriously ill and has been in a vegetative state ever since.

Just recently, Wade’s condition took a sudden turn for the worse. Several teams of doctors tried everything, but to no avail. The Colon family had no choice but to start making funeral arrangements.
When Byron heard about this, he immediately reached out to Sylvia, hoping she could save Wade.
Sylvia was about to walk out, but the moment she heard it was about Wade, she stopped in her tracks.
‘If I can really save Mr. Colon, maybe it’ll help mend things between Freddy and his father, she thought. ‘Plus, he’d owe me a favor. With any luck, maybe one day he’ll be grateful enough to expose Joanna.‘
