Chapter 39
Joanna saw Zack rushing in and immediately stepped forward, concern evident in her voice, “Zack, what are you doing here?”
Zack’s face was flushed red with anger as he pointed at Hugo. “He’s… he’s a fraud! He’s not the Miracle Doctor at all!*
Hugo’s expression darkened, his voice sharp as he scolded, “Watch your mouth, kid! Stop making things up!”
Hank’s sharp gaze swept across the room. Felix’s condition had worsened, and Hank was already suspicious of Hugo’s identity. Hearing Zack’s accusation only deepened his doubts.
“Mr. Quill, are you really the Miracle Doctor?” Hank asked, his tone cold and probing.
Hugo quickly defended himself, his voice tinged with urgency. “Mr. Farren, how can you believe a child’s nonsense? Are you seriously questioning my credentials because of him?”
Hank turned to Zack, his expression serious. “If he’s not the Miracle Doctor, then who is?”
Zack straightened his neck, his voice firm. “It’s my mom!”
Hugo let out a mocking laugh, his tone dripping with disdain. “Mr. Farren, did you hear that? This is absurd! His mom? How old is she? How could she possibly be the Miracle Doctor?”
Hank hesitated, recalling that Joanna seemed to know Zack. He turned to her, his gaze questioning. “Is what he said true?”
Zack looked at Joanna with hopeful eyes, silently pleading for her support.
Joanna hesitated for a moment, then awkwardly patted Zack’s head with a forced smile. “Zack, how could your mom be the Miracle Doctor?”
Disappointment and frustration surged through Zack, his voice trembling as he shouted, “Joanna, how could you say that? You promised you’d always believe me, no matter what!”
Joanna’s expression shifted slightly, her tone uneasy as she tried to explain, “Zack, I trust you on most things, but this is a life–and–death situation. We can’t take any chances. Let Mr. Quill treat Mr. Farren.”
Her words were clearly meant to suggest to everyone that Zack was lying.
Zack’s eyes brimmed with tears, his chest heaving with frustration. ‘Mom is the Miracle Doctor! Why won’t anyone believe me? And why is someone pretending to be her to deceive people?‘ he thought, his heart aching.
But unless Sylvia came here herself, no one would believe him.
Sylvia stood at her booth, showcasing her medical patches. Ever since Hugo spread rumors that her medical patches contained hormones, barely anyone stopped by to inquire.
Just then, Jolie hurried over. “Miss, Ruby and Zack are here too.”
Sylvia froze, her heart skipping a beat. “Where are they?” she asked urgently.
Without hesitation, Jolie led Sylvia to find them.
In the crowd ahead, Sylvia immediately spotted her daughter Ruby, but Zack was nowhere
“Ruby, didn’t Jolie say Zack was with you? Where is he?” Sylvia asked, her worry evident.

The area was bustling with people, and though there were surveillance cameras, the thought of a child going missing sent a chill down her spine.
Even if she hadn’t fully forgiven Zack, he was still her flesh and blood.

Ruby’s face lit up when she saw Sylvia. She ran over and hugged Sylvia tightly. “Mom! Zack heard someone was pretending to be you, and hig he went inside to confront them!”
Sylvia’s eyes widened as realization dawned. Ruby must’ve spilled the beans about her being the Miracle Doctor.
There were people blocking the entrance to the lounge, but when Sylvia wanted to go in, no one could stop her.
Sylvia moved like a gust of wind, brushing past the men at the door as if they weren’t even there, and strode inside.
“I’m not lying! My mom really is the Miracle Doctor! He’s the real fraud!” Zack insisted.
The moment Sylvia stepped into the lounge, her heart clenched. Zack was standing there, passionately defending her, but the crowd’s skeptical expressions made it clear no one believed him. His voice trembled, and tears were brimming in his eyes.
Hank frowned at the commotion, his patience wearing thin. “Kid, get out of here! Stop messing around while Mr. Quill is treating my dad!”
Zack felt utterly crushed. No one believed him, and he hadn’t been able to clear Sylvia’s name. The weight of his helplessness was suffocating.
Sylvia’s heart ached as she saw the tears welling up in Zack’s eyes. Without hesitation, she stepped forward, pulling him behind her. “Seriously? A bunch of adults ganging up on a kid?” she snapped, her voice laced with anger.
The moment Zack saw Sylvia, all his grievances bubbled to the surface. He wanted to dive into her arms and sob like a little kid, but he clenched his fists instead, stubbornly wiping away his tears.
He knew Sylvia hadn’t forgiven him yet, and breaking down now would only make things worse.
Still, the feeling of her hand holding his was warm and comforting, like a shield against the world.
Hank frowned, “Are you this kid’s mom? Please take your kid and leave right now.”
Looking at the young Sylvia, he was even more skeptical that she was the Miracle Doctor.
Joanna piped up from the side, “Sylvia, did you let Zack come in? You’ve interrupted Mr. Quill’s treatment of the patient.”
Hugo’s eyes lit up and he quickly said, “Yes, if it weren’t for this little boy’s appearance, I would have cured Mr. Farren by now. It’s a bit tough to handle
Mr. Farren’s current state.”
Hearing Hugo’s words, Hank got really ticked off. Just as he was about to scold Sylvia, his phone rang at that moment.
He glanced at the caller ID and answered the phone. “Zander, call back later. Something’s up with your grandpa.”
“Uncle Hank, wait! Don’t hang up! I heard you’re looking for someone called the Miracle Doctor to treat Grandpa. I know who the Miracle Doctor is!” said Zander Gage over the phone.
-Zander’s magnetic voice came from the phone. Joanna, who was standing nearby, was stunned for a moment. ‘Isn’t this Zander, the A–lister’s voice?‘ she
thought.
She had heard before that the reason why Zander had such powerful resources behind him was that his grandpa was very influential
So Felix was Zander’s grandpa.
Hank was stunned for a moment. He couldn’t help but glance at Hugo and then said to Zander, “Zander, is the Miracle Doctor Hugo the Traditional Medicine Association?”
“What Mr. Quill?” Zander was puzzled.

Zander said anxiously on the phone, “The Miracle Doctor is a friend of mine. She’s a woman. She cured me of my illness. Wait a moment. I’ll call her right now.”

With that, he hung up the phone.
Hank looked at Hugo beside him and frowned. Of course, he trusted his nephew. He never thought he’d been had by Hugo
Then, he suddenly thought of something and suddenly looked at Sylvia.
He still remembered what Zander had said on the phone. He said the Miracle Doctor was a woman.
Could it really be her? But… it seemed unlikely. She was so young. How could she be so good at medicine?
The next moment, Sylvia’s phone rang. She subconsciously picked up the phone. “Zander, what’s up?”
