Chapter 47
Sylvia made a call to Zack, making sure Cody Blaze, standing nearby, could overhear everything
But Cody didn’t take the hint. After Sylvia hung up, he sneered, “Putting on quite a show, huh? You know some big shot hacker? Gonna have him hack our company? Who do you think you are?”
Sylvia glanced at her watch, her expression cool.
Seeing her silence, Cody almost burst out laughing. He turned to his guys, “Looks like she admits it! Alright, let’s wait. I wanna see who’s gonna hack ust
His men roared with laughter.
To them, hackers were untouchable figures. The idea that this woman could just call one up and order them around was ridiculous.
Honestly, Sylvia wasn’t entirely sure how skilled Zack really was. ‘If Zack can’t pull it off,‘ she thought, ‘I’ll find someone else. Thunder Express brought this on themselves.‘
About fifteen minutes later, Cody’s phone rang shrilly.
He answered casually.
“Boss, bad news! Our websites are all dark! All the data’s gone! What do we do now?”
Cody froze. The hand holding the phone trembled, his face instantly draining of color.
Something clicked. He whipped his head around to look at Sylvia.
“Was this you? Did you have that hacker do this?” Cody’s voice shook, fear flickering in his eyes.
Sylvia smirked. “Weren’t you the one who didn’t believe me?”
Cody’s face turned livid with anger. “Tell me who that hacker is!” he snarled. “Hacking our site? He must be asking for trouble!”
Sylvia chuckled softly. “Better if I don’t. Even if I told you, you wouldn’t dare touch him.”
Furious, Cody reached out to grab Sylvia’s collar, but she flicked her hand dismissively. His arm recoiled as if shocked, and he stumbled back several
steps.
Cody’s expression darkened further. He suddenly remembered the name on Sylvia’s screen during the call.
“That hacker… his name’s Zack Blair?” he demanded coolly.
Sylvia narrowed her eyes. “If you don’t want bigger problems, learn when to back off.”
One of Cody’s men stepped forward cautiously. “Boss, his last name’s Blair, right? Could he be someone from the Blair Group?
“They’ve got a lot of tech whizzes there. But if this woman is connected to the Blair Group…” He trailed off, glancing nervously at Sy
He didn’t finish, but Cody got the message. Even if Sylvia just knew someone at the Blair Group, they couldn’t afford to mess with them.
With that thought, he made another call. The person on the other end was clearly higher up; Cody’s tone became deferential. “Lance? Can you do me a favor? Check if there’s a guy named Zack Blair working there?”
“Nope, no one by that name,” the voice replied quickly. A pause, then, “Wait, Zack Blair… sounds familiar… I think Mr. Blair’s son is named Zack.”
“Byron Blair’s son? How old is he? I thought he was only six or seven,” Cody pressed.

Chapter 47
“Six!” Lance answered.
Hearing that, Cody relaxed. Just a six–year–old kid. Definitely not the hacker they were looking for. Just the same name, he thought confidently
He hung up and turned back to his men dismissively. “Relax. This Zack kid has nothing to do with the Blair Group.”
His confidence restored, Cody sauntered over to Sylvia. “Alright, I’ll give you one chance. Get that hacker, Zack, to restore our website now. Then you apologize to me and my boys properly. Otherwise, don’t blame us for what happens next.”
His men moved, quickly surrounding Sylvia.
Sylvia wasn’t intimidated in the slightest. She subtly clenched her fists. Just a bunch of loudmouths, she thought. ‘They asked for this!
Just as things were about to get physical, seven or eight cars screeched to a halt nearby. A swarm of bodyguards in black suits poured out.
The lead car was a black, limited–edition Mercedes–Benz.
Just seeing the display, Cody and his men knew whoever arrived meant business. They all turned to look.
One bodyguard quickly opened the rear door of the Mercedes.
A small boy scrambled out of the car.
“Who’s this…?” Cody asked, unable to contain his curiosity.
The bodyguard answered coldly, “This is the Blair family’s young master, Zack Blair.”
The Blair family… with this kind of entrance… It could only be the Blair family, Silverton’s wealthiest.
Wait, what was his name? Zack? ‘No way,‘ Cody thought, his mind reeling. ‘Could it
be
that
coincidental? Is he the hacker?‘
“Mom!” Before Cody could fully process it, Zack shouted and ran towards Sylvia.
“Mom, did they hurt you?” Zack, dressed impeccably as always in slacks, a white shirt, a black vest, and a small tie, his dark hair neatly parted, radiated an aura of authority despite his age.
Sylvia frowned slightly. “What are you doing here?”
“I was worried about you, Mom!” Zack scanned Sylvia anxiously, relaxing only when he saw she was unharmed.
Sylvia had noticed the change in Zack recently. Before returning, she hadn’t planned on reconnecting, but the little boy had gradually won her over, and she was slowly starting to accept him again.
Meanwhile, the color drained from Cody’s face again. If his brain hadn’t caught up before, it did now. The hacker who crashed their website was this six- year–old boy right in front of him!
And this boy was the son of Byron Blair, the man they called the “Tyrant.” Even worse, the woman he’d just threatened… Zack had just called her Mom. If Zack called her Mom, what did that make her to Byron Blair?
