“Director, she is the doctor I called. Don’t worry, Sylvia won’t breathe a word,” Zander reassured him firmly.
The director remained skeptical, finding it hard to believe this woman could handle such severe injuries. Still, Zander had brought her, and he couldn’t just dismiss her.
Sylvia moved toward the injured actors. One man clutched his lower leg, letting out agonizing screams.
After a quick examination, Sylvia stated calmly, “Your joint’s dislocated. I need to reset it.”
“It hurts! Don’t touch me!” the actor cried out in terror as her hand neared his leg, his voice trembling.
Crack!
With a sharp sound, Sylvia applied firm pressure. The actor screamed again.
The director went pale. “Hey! Be careful! If you make it worse, we’re all screwed!”
But before he could finish, the actor gingerly moved his leg. “Wait,” he exclaimed, surprised, “It… it doesn’t hurt as much!”
Sylvia retrieved a medical patch from her kit and applied it to his leg. “The pain should ease up considerably more soon.”
As soon as the patch was on, a cooling sensation spread through the, actor’s leg. To everyone’s astonishment, he hesitantly pushed himself up from the ground.
Seeing this almost unbelievable recovery gave the others hope. Pleas erupted: “Doctor, please help me! My leg hurts so bad!”
Sylvia got to work, moving efficiently from one patient to the next. Under her care, their pain quickly subsided, the medical patches proving remarkably
effective.
The director grabbed Zander’s arm, his voice filled with excitement. “Zander, your friend… she’s incredible! A miracle worker!”
Zander watched Sylvia’s focused movements, an unexpected warmth spreading through his chest, his heart picking up speed. He stepped forward to
assist her.
Nearby, however, a man stood rigid, his face a mask of thunder, radiating an icy chill. It was Byron.

“Mr. Blair! What brings you here?” The director instantly recognized the powerful investor behind their film and hurried over.
Byron narrowed his eyes, gesturing sharply toward Sylvia. “Get her out of here. Now.”

Zander and Byron went way back. They had served together in the military; Byron had even been Zander’s commanding officer.

Despite Zander’s celebrity status, he instinctively fell into the role of subordinate soldier and followed Byron to a small, nearby gazebo.
“Byron, you know Sylvia?” Zander asked, curious.
“You mean to tell me you don’t know about my relationship with Sylvia?” Byron’s tone was sharp, accusatory.
“Know what?” Zander looked genuinely baffled, shaking his head. “I’ve never seen her around you, Byron. Never heard you mention her name!”
Byron fell silent. He had deliberately kept his marriage to Sylvia a secret. No one knew she had been his wife.
A thought struck him. “Did Sylvia ever mention her past?” he asked, his voice low. “Her… ex–husband?”
Zander gave a wry smile. “No. I know she’s divorced, I asked once. Seems her jerk of an ex–husband told her she wasn’t allowed to talk about him.”
Byron’s face turned to stone. He was the ‘jerk ex–husband. His demand for secrecy had backfired spectacularly. Now divorced and free, no one even knew she’d ever been tied to him.
Zander, oblivious, sighed wistfully, “Sylvia’s an amazing woman. Her ex must have been blind.”
‘Blind?‘ A dangerous glint flashed in Byron’s eyes.
Zander noticed the sudden shift in Byron’s demeanor, the air growing heavy. He knew that look – Byron was pissed, and he often took it out on his
buddies.
Glancing back towards Sylvia, Zander quickly excused himself. “Byron, I should go check on Sylvia, she looks exhausted.”
He hurried back to her side.
Byron’s jaw tightened, his hands clenching into fists, knuckles white, as he watched Zander rejoin Sylvia.
With Sylvia’s help, most of the actors‘ conditions had stabilized. Thankful murmurs followed her.
