Chapter 82
“You’re looking for Master Cameron?” Ryan said.
Ryan, a powerfully built man in his thirties dressed in a bespoke suit, was methodically cutting into his steak.
The moment Joanna mentioned Master Cameron, his expression hardened, and he abruptly set down his cutlery.
Joanna said solemnly, “Yes, Mr. Cho. I have an urgent matter and need to see Master Cameron.” She pushed an exquisitely wrapped gift box toward Ryan, deliberately opening it to reveal a luxury watch inside.
Ryan gave her a cool, measured glance and remarked, “Miss Moore, you must have something quite serious if you’re in such a hurry to see Master
Cameron.”
Seeing that Ryan still wouldn’t agree, Joanna paused for a moment, then pointed to Angel sitting beside her at the table and introduced, “Mr. Cho, this is my close friend Angel. Her brother is Byron. You may have heard of him.”
Joanna had specifically brought Angel along to leverage the Blair family’s influence.
Sure enough, Ryan looked at Angel, his eyes widening in surprise. “So your brother is Byron–the one they call the Tyrant of Silverton?”
Angel, who had been sitting quietly by the side, finally gave a gentle smile and nodded. “Yes, if it’s possible, I’d also love the chance to meet Master Cameron.”
Master Cameron had always been Angel’s idol, and she had been longing to meet this legendary film invester
Upon realizing Angel’s identity, Ryan’s arrogance faded noticeably. Turning his gaze back to Joanna, he asked, “Miss Moore, may I ask what brings you to see Master Cameron?”
Joanna said urgently, “Master Cameron invested in a movie here in Silverton.
“I went to the open casting call today and, to my shock, someone with absolutely such bad acting somehow got into the crew and even ended up as one of the audition judges.”
Joanna was referring to none other than Sylvia. The memory of the slap Sylvia had given her earlier still made her cheek burn, the sting of humiliation lingering painfully.
Meanwhile, Sylvia was driving her daughter Ruby through the bustling downtown.
Exhausted from the day, she couldn’t muster the energy to cook, so she decided to take Ruby out for dinner.
“Mom, we haven’t had beef since we got back. Can we go out for some, please?” Ruby beamed from the back seat, flashing her bright, adorable smile.
“Okay.” Sylvia nodded, pulled up in front of an upscale fine dining restaurant, and, taking Ruby by the hand, led her inside.
As luck would have it, this was the very restaurant where Joanna and Ryan were dining.
Upon listening to Joanna’s exaggerated account, Ryan’s expression darkened. “Miss Moore, are you certain someone like that has infiltrated Master Cameron’s crew?”
“Absolutely true. That’s exactly why I’m hoping you can introduce me to Master Cameron.” Joanna nodded.
Seeing Ryan get angry, Joanna secretly rejoiced. ‘Maybe I’ll really get to meet Master Cameron this time,‘ she wondered.
Joanna had only one goal, and that was to get Sylvia kicked out of the filming crew.

Chapter 82
Joanna seethed, thinking, ‘Sylvia dared to slap me in front of so many people. She’s going to pay for it?
As Joanna spoke, she happened to glance toward the entrance and spotted Sylvia walking in. Her eyes lit up with malicious glee, barely suppressin
smirk.
Perfect timing. She walked right into this. Can’t blame me now,’ wondered Joanna.
“Mr. Cho, that’s her, the one I was telling you about.” Joanna discreetly pointed at Sylvia.
Ryan followed her gaze; his face went ashen as he sprang to his feet.
Seeing his intense reaction, Joanna thought he was about to explode at Sylvia. She smirked and hissed, “That’s Sylvia. I’ve known her for years.
“Her acting was absolutely terrible. Yet here she is, judging auditions. She must’ve pulled some strings.”
Ryan turned livid with rage at Joanna. ‘She must be out of her mind. She actually has the nerve to stir up trouble with Master Cameron, he thought.
The moment Sylvia walked in, ‘she spotted Ryan, with Joanna and Angel beside him.
She was a little annoyed. ‘Ryan just arrived in Silverton. How’s he already hanging out with those two?‘ she wondered.
Having served Sylvia for years, Ryan instantly sensed the displeasure in her eyes. His heart skipped a beat, and his face turned–very pale.
‘I’m actually hanging out with someone who’s been badmouthing Master Cameron. No wonder she’s furious,’ Ryan thought anxiously. He hurried over to Sylvia, ready to apologize.
Sylvia gave him a cold, dismissive glance and ignored him. She took Ruby by the hand, led her to another table, lifted the little girl onto a chair, and handed her the menu to order.
Joanna strutted over with a smug smile. “Sylvia, this is Mr. Ryan Cho, Master Cameron’s personal assistant.
“Mr. Cho already knows you sneaked into the filming crew, and he’s furious. He might even report this to Master Cameron. You’d better quit now before things get ugly.”
Sylvia shot Ryan a cold look as he approached. “Is that so?”
With just one cold glance from Sylvia, Ryan’s face paled dramatically. He snapped at Joanna, “Shut your mouth. When did I ever say she should quit?”
If it weren’t for Sylvia’s order not to reveal her identity, Ryan would’ve blurted it out right then and there. The woman standing before him was none other than his boss, Master Cameron.
Joanna was stunned by the scolding, her face full of disbelief. But then an idea struck her, and she quickly composed herself.
“Mr. Cho,” she said, forcing a calm tone, “I know you can’t decide on your own and need Master Cameron’s approval. Why not let me talk to him directly? After all, I’ve been trying to reach him for ages.”
Sylvia looked up with a spark of interest in her eyes and asked, “You’re looking for Master Cameron?”
Anxious to apologize, Ryan quickly explained to Sylvja, “She asked to see Master Cameron, but I never agreed. It’s not like just anyone can get a meeting with Master Cameron, you know?”
Joanna was stunned by Ryan’s complete 180. Ever since Sylvia showed up, he flatly denied everything he’d said before.
Ryan was mentally tearing Joanna to shreds. ‘What an idiot. Master Cameron is standing right in front of her, and she doesn’t even realize it. And she actually wants to mess with Master Cameron? Utterly brainless,‘ he wondered.
Angel, seeing Joanna humiliated, couldn’t contain herself any longer. She marched over and confronted Ryan. “What’s wrong with you?
“Why are you going back on everything you said before? Master Cameron is my idol, too. Both Joanna and I want to see him. Got a problem with that?”
Chapter 82
Sylvia’s eyes flickered with faint surprise as she looked
at
Angel. “Wait? You’re a fan of Master Cameron?”
Angel snorted, “What? Yes, I’m Master Cameron’s fan. What’s it to you?” Her tone was openly provocative.
Sylvia’s lips twitched in disbelief. Seriously? The one who used to bicker with me nonstop and make my life miserable is actually my fan?‘ she wondered.
“Sylvia, don’t think you can push Joanna around just because Byron isn’t here.” Angel stepped forward aggressively, ready to defend her friend. “I’m warning you-.”
Before Angel could finish, Sylvia raised her hand to cut her off. “Angel, I happen to have Master Cameron’s latest book right here. Want it? It’s even autographed.”
Angel, who had been all set to stand up for Joanna, stopped dead in her tracks. “Really? Are you serious?”
