Chapter 92
Sylvia pulled up her car outside the Blair estate. She stepped out and headed for the entrance–only to be blocked by a line of security guards.
“Byron, let Ruby out right now!” Sylvia shouted angrily into the mansion.
Having Byron’s order, Louis stepped forward and replied politely, “Ms. Sullivan, Mr. Blair said he will send your daughter back after she finishes her meal here.”
“No way! I’m taking Ruby home right now!” Sylvia demanded, trying to push past the security guards. But they quickly formed a solid line at the entrance, blocking her path.
Sylvia’s face darkened with rage as she glared at Louis. “Go tell Byron–if he doesn’t bring Ruby out right now, I’m calling the police!”
Not far in the garden, Byron stood coldly in the shadows. Upon hearing Sylvia’s words, his face darkened.
his eyes, Sylvia was acting guilty. She must come in such a rush because she was afraid he would find Ruby was his daughter.
‘Calling the cops? Seriously?
She’s the one keeping a father from his own daughter–if anyone belongs in handcuffs, it’s her!‘ He thought sarcastically.
Louis didn’t budge. True to her word, Sylvia immediately whipped out her phone and dialed 911.
“Hello? I want to report a kidnapping–someone has taken my daughter!” Sylvia said, her voice sharp with urgency.
Louis froze.
‘Me? Kidnapper?‘
Byron’s eyes jerked violently.
Sylvia continued urgently, “I know where the kidnapper is. Please send someone over immediately!”
The officer asked for the address, and without hesitation, Sylvia gave the Blair family’s address.
The police officer was silent for a moment before confirming it a second time.
“Ms. Sullivan, just to confirm–are you saying the person who kidnapped your daughter is hiding in the Blair estate?”
The police knew exactly who lived there–Byron Blair, the infamous “Tyrant” of Silverton.
Sylvia gritted her teeth and said, “Yes, that kidnapper is Byron Blair!”
Byron Bliar–the notorious “Tyrant” of Silverton himself–kidnapped a kid? The police couldn’t believe it.
Louis was also shocked.
Sylvia was the first person who ever dared to call Byron a kidnapper.
Byron’s face darkened. Unable to contain his rage any longer, he stormed over, the veins in his neck bulging.
“Shut your mouth, Sylvia!” he roared.
Sylvia hung up and glared coldly at Byron. “Oh, now you finally show up? Where’s Ruby? Bring her here right now!”
With a cold wave of his hand, Byron dismissed Louis and the security guards.

Chapter 92
He looked Sylvia up and down with a faint smirk. “Sylvia, Ruby’s just here having dinner with Zack. Why are you so worked up?”
Sylvia’s eyes flickered with panic, but she scoffed coldly, “Why would I be worried? I just don’t want Ruby getting too close to your family–lest she pick up any of your bad habits.”
Byron barely contained his fury and fell silent for a moment. Then he resumed coldly, “Sylvia, if you want Ruby to go back with you right now, there’s only one way.”
Sylvia looked up. “What way?”
Shoving his hands in his pockets, Byron loomed over her and said meaningfully, “Return to the Blair family as my wife. Then no one can stop you from doing anything you want.”
Sylvia found she couldn’t expect anything good from Byron. Again, his words left her cheeks burning with anger.
“I’ll give you time to reconsider,” Byron declared with cold arrogance.
Furiously, Sylvia gave him a hard shove and spat, “In your dreams!”
Byron’s jaw tightened. He thought this would be enough to make Sylvia come back, but to his surprise, she stormed off to her car and drove away in a
huff.
‘Fine. If she’s leaving, then she’d better not come back for Ruby.
I’m keeping my daughter here tonight,‘ he thought.
After all, Ruby was his own flesh and blood.
Sylvia sped out of the Blair estate and pulled over just down the road.
She grabbed her phone and made a call. “Angel, where are you?”
Angel was in high spirits when Sylvia called. Earlier that day, Sylvia had taken her to an audition on set, and–thanks to Sylvia’s encouragement–she’d actually landed the lead role. She could hardly believe her luck.
“Sylvia, I’m still on set,” Angel said. Since Sylvia had given her this amazing opportunity, she was determined to make the most of it.
“I’m right outside your home–get back here now! Byron is hiding my daughter inside!” Sylvia snapped angrily.
Upon hearing this, Angel flustered. “Don’t worry, I’m on my way back now!”
She sped toward home, muttering in frustration while driving, “Seriously, what’s Byron thinking? Even if Ruby is adorable, she’s not his daughter. What’s the big idea bringing her home?”
Halfway, she spotted Sylvia by the roadside. After Sylvia filled her in on what had happened, she hurried back home.
In the dining room, Byron was having dinner with the two little ones, Ruby and Zack.
Ruby was having a blast–her belly round and full as she happily clinked her juice cup with Zack’s.
Byron watched her with pure adoration, gently wiping the corners of her mouth with a napkin.
Ever since he found out Ruby was his daughter, he couldn’t help but spoil her–even peeling shrimp for her, a privilege Zack never got.
Just at this moment, Angel walked into the dining room, feigning surprise. “Ruby, you’re at our home today!”
“Hi, Auntie Angel!” Ruby hopped down from her little chair and waved her hand excitedly at her.
Angel nodded, then took Ruby’s hand. “Ruby, come with me for a sec. I just bought some ice cream–want to see?”

Chapter 92
Ruby bobbed her head obediently. “Yes!”
Then she skipped after Angel out of the living room.
Byron looked their way, muttering with discontent, “Angel, do we really need you to buy more ice cream for the house? Ruby’s almost full–don’t let her overeat on it.”
“Got it, bro.”
Angel responded while stealthily leading Ruby toward the door. Once they were out of the living room, she scooped Ruby up in her arms and dashed off like she was kidnapping a child.
“Angel, where are you taking me?” Ruby asked curiously, wrapping her arms around Angel’s neck.
“Your mom is waiting for you outside.”
Angel threw caution to the wind for Sylvia. Nobody dared stand in her way in this home, so she marched straight through and delivered Ruby safely into
vivia’s arms.
Byron, still in the dining room, suddenly sensed something was off. He called out several times toward the door, but no one answered. When he stepped out, he found the living room completely deserted.
