Lucas froze for a moment, then stumbled a few steps, his face twisted.
“Scarlett did all this?!”
He suddenly realized something and cried out heartbreakingly:
“Eleanor is really still pregnant – and I actually blamed her for lying to me!”
He finally couldn’t hold on any longer and fell to his knees, digging his nails into the carpet. His whole body felt as if it had been drained out of him.
After a while, he suddenly hugged his head and broke down crying.
“She…she’s still pregnant! She’s carrying my child! But because of a few words from Scarlett, I had to watch her have a difficult labor and heavy bleeding. In the end, I threw her into the basement and didn’t let anyone take care of her!”
Lucas stumbles back home.
The villa was empty. He stepped into the basement step by step, and the pungent smell of blood hit him in the face.

His eyes widened, his throat dry: “What did you say?”
Mrs. Sterling walked down the stairs slowly, with a look of disgust in her eyes.
“She is not the daughter of the man who saved you. The tragic experiences she told you were all false. She was just a nightclub hostess who sold her body for money. She happened to hear someone mention your car accident and Eleanor’s incident, and she had evil thoughts. She found someone to forge her identity, bribed the witnesses of that year, and pretended to be the daughter of your benefactor.”
“For a liar, you actually set up a farce of raising a lover with weak sperm and giving birth to a child, which made Eleanor heartbroken. You even –”
She paused, her eyes turned cold, “You even killed your savior, your wife, and your unborn child with your own hands for this liar.”
