Chapter 11
Before I could escape, Mason pushed Kinsley in front of me and kicked her knees, forcing her to
kneel.
With bloodshot eyes, he turned to me and said, “Babe, I know everything now. It was all this
woman’s fault. She poured blood on the dress and spread those rumors about you and your mom.”
“I’ve already taken her to the hospital to abort the baby. I know I’m no better than garbage.”
As he spoke, he also fell to his knees, slapping himself frantically while continuing, “Aria, I’m so sorry. I’ve failed you and your parents. Please give me one more chance–I swear I’ll make it up to you. I’ll give you anything you want, I promise. Kinsley and I will never have anything to do with each other ever again.”
Hearing he made similar promises again, I smiled faintly. “You’ve said all this before. Mason, I don’t believe you anymore.”
Startled by his own spontaneous apology, he looked at me with guilt. “Aria…”
“Mason, I really don’t have time for this,” I interrupted firmly. “If you truly want to make amends,
then please stay far away from me. Divorce me–that’s the best compensation you can offer.”
Just then, my father’s car emerged from the underground garage. Without looking back, I got in as
Mason called out, “Aria, where are you going?” And I didn’t answer.
My parents had sold this old house, and this was our last day living here. They had promised they wouldn’t tell Mason my whereabouts and had already bought a new house in another city to help me escape him completely.
or the next few months, I changed my phone number and threw myself completely into work. Though I maintained no contact with the Reed family, I would regularly write letters and ask friends to deliver them to Grandpa Reed, checking on his well–being.
It wasn’t until our divorce case went to court that I saw Mason again.
Grandpa Reed also attended the proceedings, where Mason sat crying miserably as he confessed his deplorable past actions to the cameras.
Watching him like this, I felt nothing stirring in my heart anymore.

Chapter 11
True to his promise, Mason voluntarily surrendered his entire fortune to me without offering a single word in his own defense.
After everything was settled, I returned to the company and continued my work.
Months later, as news of Mason’s rapid bankruptcy dominated the headlines, I have become the
chief designer of M&E.
By the way, all the money Mason left me was donated to the Women’s Protection Association.
From then on, my life became solely about pursuing my dreams.
