Joy’s malicious instigation of cyberbullying against Jade ultimately backfired on her. The students who got dragged into it naturally ostracized her, and Joy couldn’t handle it anymore, so she dropped out.

“Why are you jealous?”
Jacob pulled me into his arms. “Jealous? Of him? I don’t like him. He has no real
ability yet always acts so arrogant. He must be incompetent.”
Jacob’s words were too harsh.
“Jessie,” Jacob called my name, “when will you take me to meet your parents?”
Not long ago, Jacob had come to find me on his own initiative.
