Chapter 9
On the eve of the trial, Evan kept calling me non–stop.

Unable to bear the harassment any longer, I answered once. The moment I picked up, Evan launched into a tirade.
“Daisy! I never imagined you could be such a vicious woman. Alisa has already lost her medical license–do you want to take even more from her?
“Alisa’s family went bankrupt. She only did this to survive. Why are you pushing her like this?
“Alisa didn’t hurt you, and you’ve already proven your innocence. Isn’t that enough? Why do you have to drive someone to desperation?”
Faced with his relentless accusations, I couldn’t help but recall what happened in my previous life.
In my past life, when I was at my wit’s end, I had called Evan for help just like this!
I had taken out the hospital’s diagnostic report, which clearly stated: I was still a virgin, I wasn’t pregnant.
But Evan wouldn’t even look at it. He swept the diagnosis away with his hand.

He looked at me mockingly: “At this point, do you think I’d still believe anything you say?
“Alisa is a nationally recognized gynecological expert. How could her diagnosis be wrong?
“You’re using some suspicious diagnostic report to sow discord. Daisy, you’re disgusting!
“A cheating woman like you belongs in hell. Why don’t you just go die?”
When he said this, Alisa stood nearby, watching coldly.
When Evan shoved me hard and I collapsed helplessly to the ground, Alisa walked past me in her high heels, even grinding her foot viciously into my palm.
Tears instantly welled up and fell to the floor.
I couldn’t understand why Alisa would treat me this way.
She knew full well I wasn’t pregnant. If she had just been willing to speak up and clarify, I wouldn’t have killed myself, and the “slut” label would have been completely cleared.
I grabbed her pant leg, looking up at her pleadingly.
Alisa smiled maliciously, looking down at me from above.

She said slowly: “If you’re willing to kneel and beg me, maybe I’ll consider clearing all this up for you.”
She was humiliating me.
It was clearly her misdiagnosis that led to me being cursed by the entire internet, yet she wanted me to pay for her mistake–even demanding I kneel and kowtow.
But if Alisa wouldn’t speak for me, I truly didn’t know what else to do.
I gritted my teeth, letting tears fall as I humiliatingly kowtowed three times to Alisa.
After I finished kowtowing, she covered her mouth and giggled, looking at me in amazement.
“No way! I was just joking–I didn’t think you’d actually believe me!
“Of course I was lying to you. A cheating woman like you deserves to die!”
She wore the gentlest smile on her face while speaking the most venomous words.
When Evan turned to ask what she was saying to me, Alisa waved dismissively and answered carelessly: “Nothing much, just seeing that she still shows no remorse, I kindly offered her

some advice.”
This deep hatred and resentment–I will never forget it.
