- 07.
Hurried footsteps echoed from the backstage corridor.
Alexander finally showed his face.
He wore his suit jacket, his expression stiff, trying to project a “crisis management” posture as he walked up to me.
“Scarlett, don’t be so impulsive. Let’s talk this over privately.”
I turned to him, a cold sneer on my face.

“Now, what right do you have to talk to me?”
He leaned in, lowering his voice:
“This is tearing everything apart publicly… it won’t do you any good.”
I didn’t wait for him to finish, recoiling in disgust and covering my nose, then directly raised my
phone:
“What everyone just saw was merely the tip of the iceberg.”
“Now, please look at the real–time synchronization on the top right corner of the big screen.”
On the main screen, an image popped up: a “Pre–Agreement for Share Transfer” signed by Alexander and a client. The signing date was precisely the day I was removed from the wedding project in my previous life.
It explicitly stated:
*If Party A (Scarlett) voluntarily withdraws from this project, all subsequent contract profits from signed clients will be exclusively enjoyed by Party B (Alexander).*
Alexander’s face instantly paled. He staggered back two steps, his usually straight posture slumping
for a moment.
“How did you-”
“You thought your little hidden tricks could fool anyone?” My voice was as cold as ice. “I stepped aside because I was naive then. It doesn’t mean I’m still naive now.“”
“You promised clients the world, secretly pocketed profits, used me as a shield, and made me shoulder all the responsibility?”
I waved my hand, and another contract projection appeared.
“You unilaterally terminated my team’s contracts, stole planning concepts, and deliberately sabotaged the wedding, attempting to displease the CEO and thereby trigger a change in company
shares.”
“You wanted to destroy me and swallow the entire company.”

Someone in the audience was already on the phone.
Reporters snapped photos, guests whispered, and media accounts live–streamed the scene.
Alexander lost his composure and finally exploded in anger. He lunged forward, trying to snatch the remote control from my hand, but security guards quickly restrained him:
“Scarlett, if you dare to-”
“Dare to what?”
I didn’t let him finish, simply raising my hand lightly:
“Lawyer.”
A young lawyer in a crisp suit stepped forward, holding three documents.
“The first is a copy of the evidence that you transferred project rights without Ms. Scarlett’s
authorization.”
“The second is the lawsuit filed by Scarlett Events against ‘Alexander & Scarlett Events‘ for
infringement, fraud, and malicious competition.”
“The third is the official notice from the court freezing your personal assets and shareholdings.”
The lawyer read calmly, his voice devoid of any warmth.
Alexander’s hand trembled. He almost couldn’t stand steady, looking at me in disbelief:
“Scarlett, you’re going to drag me to court?!”
I glanced at him indifferently, my expression unchanged:
“You personally pushed me into the lake. This time, I’ll personally send you to hell.”
At that moment, a representative from the Wedding Industry Association walked onto the stage.
“Alexander and Chloe, for violating professional ethics and orchestrating malicious incidents, will be immediately blacklisted by the wedding industry and have their qualifications revoked.”
“The association will notify all industry alliances to collectively boycott these two individuals and

any related companies from participating in all future projects.”
*Slap!*
It was like a resounding slap across Alexander’s face.
His mouth twitched. He suddenly roared:
“You planned all of this! You wanted to ruin me from the very beginning, didn’t you?!”
I looked at his crazed expression and said softly:
“No, you were the one who wanted to ruin *me* from the very beginning.””
“All I did was take every single thing you did, and show it to everyone.”
Reporters swarmed, flashlights strobing more intensely than ever.
Chloe had already collapsed to the ground, crying until her voice was hoarse. Her assistant quietly
retreated, as if she’d never known her.
Alexander’s face was utterly pale. He looked at me, his lips trembling:
“Scarlett… I was wrong… I really just…”
“Shut up.
Alexander, stop trying to disgust me with your fake apologies.”
I said softly.
He tried to get down on his knees to beg me, but a legal document was slapped onto his face-
I publicly announced the revocation of his legal representative status and the freezing of his remaining shares.
He was completely stunned: “You… you already sold your shares?”
I looked at him, smiling indifferently: “But you forgot who I sold them to.”
“You thought I was giving up, but I was already preparing to dismantle your entire company.”

Alexander’s eyes were bloodshot. He tried to lunge forward again but was held back by security guards who twisted his wrists and dragged him from the venue.
He looked at me one last time, his neck flushed red with rage, veins bulging, lips trembling: “You’ll regret this too, Scarlett!”
My gaze remained steady. I just spoke coldly:
“I will live well. Every single moment, I will watch you regret.”
