Chapter 4 Ex–hubby
“I’m really sorry.” Julissa turned to leave when she heard Reece’s deep voice from behind.
“You just left me, and you’ve got a new guy?”
He thought Julissa was all about the money.
What he said got under Julissa’s skin. She was already feeling grumpy from the booze, and now his snark made her even more furious.
She spun around sharply, her light laugh tinged with contempt.
“My ex–hubby isn’t good enough. Can’t I find someone else?”
This made the anger in Reece’s eyes flare up.
“What did you say?!”
Julissa leaned even closer like she wasn’t afraid of anything. “I said, you’re bad in bed!”
“Julissa!”
“Reece.” Julissa was a bit wobbly, leaning crookedly against the sink. After she let out her anger, she seemed a little drained. Her voice got softer when she suddenly looked up, her eyes blazing. “Do you think I’m bad–looking?”
Back in the day, she was hailed as a beauty icon by millions of people online.
Reece was caught off guard. He didn’t expect her mood to swing so fast.
The bathroom was dead silent. Julissa didn’t get the answer she wanted and took a step closer to Reece. “Tell me, am I bad–looking?”
She was definitely not bad–looking. In fact, she had always been stunning. Her eyes shimmered with a captivating glow that made it hard to look away. The T–shirt she had on was now loose and off one shoulder, showing off her smooth, delicate collarbones. With the light blush on her face, she looked both sexy and cute.
She seemed different now, not like the girl who would just smile shyly in Harmony Villa.
As Reece stayed quiet, Julissa’s lips curled into a smile, her eyes hazy with drink. “You’re not saying anything, which means I look good enough.” With that, she reached up and grabbed his collar.
Reece instinctively tensed up and grabbed her wrist. The force of their tussle made a loud rip, and half his collar was torn off.
This was just what Julissa wanted. In their three years of marriage, Reece had never touched her. The more she thought about it, the more she felt like she had been cheated, and her hand got even more daring.

Her warm hand pressed against Reece’s chest, making his eyes narrow sharply.
He had been drinking too. With the atmosphere so charged, he could only force himself to endure it. He grabbed Julissa’s wrist and flung it aside, his eyes looking pretty dangerous.
“Julissa, don’t go crazy.”
“Our divorce isn’t done yet,” Julissa whispered, blowing softly into Reece’s ear. “We’re still husband and wife, in the eyes of the law.”
Her voice was soft, trembling at the end, like she was on the verge of tears.
A hidden glimmer of emotion flickered in Reece’s eyes. He wrapped his arm around Julissa’s waist, lifted her onto the sink, and pinned her against the mirror with his strong presence.
She had a slender, supple waist.
“Julissa, no matter what you do, this marriage is over.”
a
Julissa smiled, all charming. “I know that, but…” She suddenly leaned in, pressing close to Reece. “Your body is re- acting to me.”
With that, she looked like she had won, turned around smoothly, and slipped out from beside Reece.
Her voice turned cold. “Too bad, my body doesn’t react to you at all.”
She thought about how she had touched Reece’s hand and, with a look of disgust, rinsed her hands under the water.
She used hand sanitizer three times before she felt clean.
Reece’s face darkened.
Julissa knew that today was Cristina’s welcome–back party. Even if she drove Reece crazy, he wouldn’t mess up such a good day for the girl he loved.
So if not now, when would she get her chance to get back at him?
Before leaving, Julissa turned back with a serious look. “Could you hurry up the divorce process? I’ve got other plans.”
With that, she left cool and confident.
Reece’s hands were trembling with rage, his knuckles turning white from clenching them so hard.
Other plans? So Julissa’s meek and obedient act all this time was just an act!
Seeing her smug expression, Reece was so furious that he felt an urge to pin her in this very bathroom and take her hard, so she wouldn’t even have the energy to cry!
Though she had ticked off Reece, Julissa wasn’t feeling any better as she walked out. She left the bathroom and wan- dered around until she found a quiet, empty spot, where she hugged herself and slowly squatted down.

Reece had only slept with her that one time in their three years of marriage, and even then, he had mistaken her for Cristina!
Plus, he had never been in any scandals and had always kept his distance from other girls, all for Cristina.
But what happened just now had thrown Julissa into confusion.
This time, Reece didn’t drink much.
He had been sober.
And yet, he had still reacted to her.
“What are you doing here?”
Zayne’s voice snapped Julissa back to reality. He smelled faintly of alcohol but still politely helped her up.
“You’ve had too much to drink. I’ll take you home.”
Julissa felt all limp and could only nod in agreement.
a
She dozed off in Zayne’s arms and didn’t hear him say, “Reece doesn’t know how lucky he is.”
