Chapter 50
Julissa searched in the kitchen for a while and found all the ingredients she needed. She finally breathed a sigh of relief
Thank goodness, otherwise she would have to carry Recce to the hospital in the middle of the night, which would be exhausting
The flavors of ingredients and medicinal herbs mixed together, boiled in a clay pot, and slowly wafted into the living room.
Reece couldn’t help but squint his eyes, his eyebrows furrowed.

Why does this taste so familiar?
Julissa walked slowly with a bowl of soup, sat next to Reece, and carefully helped him up.
“The soup should be drunk hot.”
After finishing a bowl of soup, the warm and comforting flow did make him feel much better.
“How did you manage to endure this?”
Julissa glanced at Reece.
“Otherwise, who do you think endured all those in the past?”
A different kind of emotion spread in Reece’s eyes.
“Why didn’t you say it before?”
Julissa tidied up the table and replied indifferently, “I made it, would you still drink it?”

Julissa helped Recce lie down and then found a blanket to cover him.
“Mr. Diaz, how much do you hate me in your heart?”
Recce was stunned.
I wanted to explain something, but when it came to my mouth. I couldn’t say a word.
The stomach cramps had improved a lot, but the whole person seemed to have been drained of strength, with no energy at all.
“Okay, okay.”
Julissa shrugged nonchalantly, “Go to sleep, I won’t be retaliating by spiking your soup.”
“I will compensate you later.”
Turning off the lights, out of the blue in the darkness came a sentence that caught Julissa off guard.
This confusion quickly turned into helplessness.
“You letting me go is already compensating me.”
With that, he went upstairs.
Reece looked at the empty second–floor corridor, but his gaze couldn’t be withdrawn.
Just now, the temperature of Julissa’s palm, like some kind of scalding brand, left a mark on Reece’s heart.
The room was quiet and silent, the pair of cold eyes went from hesitation to disappointment, and finally, as they slowly withdrew from the second–floor corridor, a charming figure appeared in the dim light.

Julissa quietly walked down the stairs with a blanket in her arms, sat down on the sofa next to Reece, and began to tidy up her bedding
“That… if you feel pain again at night, remember to wake me up.”
With that. Julissa turned over and fell asleep with her back to Reece.
She was slim, curled up so small on the sofa, looking pitiful.
Reece’s ink–black eyes blended with the night, and if it weren’t for his physical limitations at that moment, he would have loved to grab the woman and hold her in his arms.
That night Reece slept particularly soundly.
Early the next day, James hurried back from outside. Just as he was about to speak, he was fiercely struck on the back by Dillan’s cane.
I couldn’t even scream in pain, and my mouth was covered by someone.
When the shock had not yet subsided, I was met with Dillan’s fierce
eyes.
James’s scalp went numb in an instant.
“Quiet!” Dillan warned him with a look, pointing to the two people sleeping on the couch, indicating that he should be more observant.
James glanced over and saw Reece and Julissa, sleeping head to head on two couches.
The scene was particularly warm and cozy.
“You little brat, I haven’t even settled the matter of breaking the family rules with you, what are you doing here again?”
James grew up with Reece from a young age, also growing up around

Dillan.
So now Dillan simply “hates iron for not becoming steel” towards him.
James dared not speak, his eyes filled with astonishment.
Just one night has passed, how come these two are so harmonious now?
Reece always had shallow sleep, and James‘ movements still woke him.
- up.
Upon waking up, I saw Julissa sleeping soundly, her fair little face looking so tender as if water could be squeezed out of it.
He got up and wanted to help Julissa cover the blanket.
But just as she leaned over, Julissa woke up.
Her raised hand almost swung back towards Reece’s face.
“How.” Reece squinted his eyes, lips curved with a barely noticeable smile, “Are you still planning to slap me?”
Julissa awkwardly smiled and quickly pulled back her hand that was suspended in midair.
Rubbed my eyes.
“How could it be.”
Julissa got up busily with a fake smile on her face.
Now that Reece has recovered, with his skills, if she were to slap him, wouldn’t she be beaten up by him?

“Mr. Diaz.”
James saw that the two people were awake, so he hurried over without much hesitation.
