Chapter58
Reece’s back was almost covered in blood, with three or four wounds, the deepest one winding from his shoulder to his waist, with flesh and blood spilling out, extremely horrifying.
Reece tilted his head slightly when he saw Julissa didn’t react.
On his pale face, besides the slight frown of his brows, the deep eyes were calm as water, as if these pains were as ordinary to him as cutting a finger.
He didn’t know this injury would scare Julissa.
“Don’t be afraid.”
“He didn’t die.”
Julissa trembled, trying hard to calm her emotions.
Frantically fumbling in his pockets.
“I called, I called for an ambulance…”
Her voice trembled uncontrollably as she spoke, and when she tried to find her phone, she discovered that it had been
damaged by water and wouldn’t turn on.
“Reece, where is yours, where is your phone…”
Julissa frantically searched through Reece’s pockets again.
The phone was not found, it should have been washed away by water.

The palm was sticky, and when touched, it was covered in blood.
Julissa’s last nerve finally snapped, and tears kept streaming down uncontrollably.
Watching Reece’s tightly pursed white lips, Julissa tried to compose herself.
Now is not the time when she cried.
Time was running out, and Reece’s life did not allow her to waste time.
She looked around and saw mountains and streams all around. They hadn’t been washed to the foot of the mountain, but had fallen into a cave in the middle of the mountain stream.
There was no road, only water.
Julissa repeatedly took deep breaths, wiped away her tears, and tremblingly spoke.
“I’ll help you stop the bleeding first,” she seemed to have made up her mind, “and then carry you out.”
It’s like asking and answering myself, and it’s like comforting myself.
“We were sure to find the way.”
Reece had no strength, and the faint “hmm” that escaped his lips was his response to Julissa.
Julissa tore her skirt hem into several strips of cloth at carefully helped Reece lean against the rock.

He no longer had the strength to sit up straight by himself.
Julissa saw the bandage wrapped around Reece’s wound, her fingertips trembling, afraid to apply pressure, fearing she might hurt him.
“You can’t do this.”
Reece’s hoarse voice slowly sounded, “You have to push hard, otherwise the bleeding won’t stop.”
Julissa gritted her teeth and tightened the strip of cloth.
Reece couldn’t help but let out a few muffled groans.
Julissa’s heart softened, and she quickly let go of her hand.
“Tighter.”
Reece’s chest rose and fell unevenly, but he tried to make his voice sound steady as usual.
“Don’t be afraid.”
“It’s okay.”
He was still dating Julissa even though they were both hurt.
This made Julissa feel even more upset, swallowing the bitterness, she tightly pursed her lips and pushed again.
Reece didn’t make any sound, clenched fists, fingertips already sinking into the flesh.
Cold sweat rolled down his sturdy and broad back, which was trembling uncontrollably at the moment.

yanaaging the wound, Julissa’s tense heart could
finally relax for a moment.
“I am going around to see if there is a road nearby.”
Julissa settled Reece down, keeping him on his side, and took off her own jacket to drape it over him.
“I’ll be back.”
This place was remote, and Julissa finally figured out the direction of the river’s flow, only to find that both upstream and downstream were far away from them.
Now there is no mobile phone, and calling for help is even more difficult.
There was nothing around except for the constant sound of flowing water.
Julissa walked a long way around and finally squatted by a small stream to wash her hands.
Her hands were covered in Reece’s blood, soaking in the water and turning large patches of the river red.
I remember my grandfather telling me that when the Diaz family first arrived in Archdale, Reece was often surrounded and threatened, getting injured but not even furrowing his brow, silently keeping it in his heart.
Finally, we managed to recover the principal and interest together.
He was brave and resourceful, and he knew how to se patient and lie in wait.

Originally, Julissa, it was in these stories, little by little fell in love with Reece.
But now, seeing him injured like this, I finally realized it after the fact.
The hardships back then, although they shaped Reece who is now feared and admired by everyone.
But for him, all this was a journey of a thousand dangers and countless hardships.
Thinking about it, Reece was quite pitiful too.
That Cristina, only knew how to be jealous, constantly chasing after the false reputation of Mrs. Diaz, she never seemed to understand how to love Reece.
