Aaron blocked me, leaving me no choice but to move back to Harris Manor.
Eventually, Gavin somehow communicated with the school, and Ryan was brought home directly. From then on, he only went to school for monthly exams and weekly tests, spending the rest of his time at home receiving my full–time systematic tutoring.
Ryan’s foundation was fairly solid. During the day, I tutored him in all subjects, and at night I arranged tests for him. After two months of intensive training, he actually managed to rank in the top 70 of his grade.
The teachers found this hard to believe, worried he had cheated again. They even conducted a separate retest on him, but the scores remained nearly identical.
This put Gavin in an excellent mood. To celebrate, he took Juliette, Ryan, and me to an amusement park.
I could tell Ryan was having a great time. Juliette took him to wait in line for the roller coaster, while Gavin pulled me aside to ride the Ferris wheel alone.
I sat in the Ferris wheel car holding an ice cream cone, my mouth twitching. Watching Gavin, who had been stone–faced moments before, also holding an ice cream, I found the whole scene rather awkward.

“Aren’t you happy?” he asked.
“No,” I replied curtly.

Gavin turned his head to look out the window. “Don’t you love Ferris wheels the most?”
I frowned. “When did I ever say I liked this?”
Perhaps it was my imagination, but I seemed to catch a flicker of confusion in Gavin’s eyes.
After getting off the Ferris wheel, I felt stomach discomfort and hurried to the amusement park restroom. Coming out, I accidentally bumped into a woman.
The woman was about to scold me when she suddenly saw me
and froze.
“Mrs. Harris?” she blurted out.
I frowned and shook my head. “I’m sorry, you’ve mistaken me for someone else.”
She was pushing a baby stroller and looked me up and down in surprise. “There’s no mistake, Mrs. Harris. I’m Ella Petrov. I used to work at your house last year. How could you forget?”
I frowned in confusion. “Last year?”

Seeing I truly couldn’t remember, she immediately pulled out her phone to find a video.
She said, “Mrs. Harris, you’re so forgetful. This is a video I recorded at your birthday party last year.”
I stared at the phone screen as a familiar yet strange living room came into view. I quickly grabbed the phone to examine it more closely.
In the video, this woman calling herself Ella was adjusting the camera angle. Then she stood up from the ground, holding her pregnant belly, and walked toward a couple who seemed to be arranging a cake on the table.
At her call, the two turned around laughing and faced the camera together.
When I saw their faces clearly, I felt a chill run down my spine.
In the video, Gavin was gently holding my shoulder and waving to the side. Soon, Juliette appeared in the frame with Ryan.
I watched the video in shock as blurry images flashed through my mind, followed by intense pain.
I frowned and held my forehead, looking up at Ella.
Ella chattered on about many past events, and the more I

listened, the more uneasy I became. Finally, the baby in the stroller started crying, and she hurriedly said goodbye.
I watched the woman enter the restroom and stood there in a
daze.
Before long, my wrist throbbed with pain. Looking back, I saw Gavin gripping my wrist.
“What are you spacing out about?” he asked.
I quickly shook my head. “I just accidentally bumped into someone.”
Gavin scanned the area around us, then pulled me away. I looked suspiciously at his retreating figure.
The Gavin in the video had looked incredibly gentle, completely different from his current coldness. What was that video about?
Could there really be a Mrs. Harris who looked exactly like me?
Due to my stomach discomfort, Gavin forcibly took me to the hospital that evening. The doctor diagnosed mild gastroenteritis and prescribed some medication.
After returning home, Juliette specially prepared a late–night snack and brought it to my room.
She said, “Ms. Crawford, you barely ate anything tonight. Please have something.”

I was buried in grading Ryan’s homework and didn’t look up. “Thank you, just leave it there.”
Juliette stood watching me for a long time. Feeling somewhat impatient, I casually took a couple of bites. Only then did she stop saying anything and leave.
After she left, I immediately dumped the food in the bathroom.
During this time, I only ate meals with Ryan. I only dared to eat things he had eaten first, absolutely refusing anything Juliette brought me alone.
The next day, I used the excuse of a broken computer to borrow the study computer again to revise my thesis.
After hearing this, Gavin stared at me for a long time before finally agreeing.
All the videos were still on the computer. He didn’t seem afraid of me seeing them at all. I selected some important parts and copied them to a hard drive.
Back in my room, I compared the locations in the videos one by one, trying to find hidden cameras.
However, after searching thoroughly, I discovered a crucial problem.

The places the “me” in the surveillance videos had been to were places I had never actually visited.
After careful comparison, I found that the bathroom in the video wasn’t the guest room bathroom I was currently using, and the bedroom in the video wasn’t my current guest room either.
I opened the video properties to check the file timestamp and discovered the surveillance time was actually April 18, 2018.
That was five years ago.
Five years ago!
I was stunned.
I had clearly only come to Harris Manor this year. How could I appear in videos from five years ago?
Could the time settings be wrong?
But even so, I had never been to those unfamiliar places even
once.
Could I just be a look–alike substitute?
The Mrs. Harris that woman named Ella mentioned was indeed
someone else!
