Chapter 6
The next morning, Juliette knocked on Gavin’s bedroom door.
I dragged my exhausted body out of his room.
Juliette showed no surprise, simply smiling as she gestured for me to come downstairs for breakfast.
Her calm demeanor made me realize that Gavin obviously wasn’t doing this to someone for the first time.
I walked downstairs numbly to find Gavin and Ryan already
seated there.
Gavin had returned to his usual cold demeanor, as if last night’s madness had been nothing but a dream.
Just thinking about those scenes made my heart tremble, and I quickly shook my head, trying to dispel the images from my
mind.
At that moment, Gavin was leaning back in his chair, looking down at a stack of test papers in his hands.
He wore rimless glasses, and behind the lenses was a cold gleam, his expression so indifferent it sent chills down one’s spine.
When Ryan saw me come down, he immediately looked like he’d seen his savior.

I nodded, then looked toward Gavin, only then noticing that what he held in his hands appeared to be Ryan’s test papers.
I remembered that when I left last time, Ryan had mentioned having an exam.
I had specifically organized key topics for him and made him review them once.
But judging by Gavin’s icy expression, Ryan’s grades were probably disastrous.
With a sharp “smack,” the papers were slammed heavily onto the table.
jumped, and Ryan flinched even more, his shoulders shrinking.
Gavin removed his glasses and rubbed his deeply furrowed
brow.
a moment, he spoke coldly, “Tell me, what exactly are you ying to do?”
This was obviously directed at Ryan, but Ryan kept his head down and said nothing.

Seeing his lack of response, Gavin turned to look at Juliette, who was tidying up the room. “Juliette, go pack Ryan’s bags. Send him back to Malmo tomorrow.”
Juliette froze, asking in confusion, “Mr. Harris?”
Ryan’s head shot up, and he shouted emotionally, “I’m not going
back!”
Although I couldn’t influence Gavin’s attitude, as Ryan’s teacher, I had a responsibility to understand the situation.
So I walked over to Gavin’s side and picked up those test papers to look through them.
After a quick scan, I frowned and asked, “Why are there two sets of test papers? Ryan, did you take the test twice?”
Gavin let out a cold laugh and picked up his water glass for a sip. “You can explain it to Ms. Crawford yourself.”
Ryan hesitantly glanced at Gavin, then turned to me, finally hanging his head and confessing, “I got caught cheating on yesterday’s exam. The second one was when the teacher made me retake it last night.”
Hearing this, I turned to look at Ryan in shock.
No wonder they came back so late last night–Ryan had been caught cheating.

Moreover, Gavin, as his guardian, had been called to the school. I could only imagine how embarrassing that scene must have
been.
Thinking of Gavin having to go to school in the rain only to get lectured by the teacher, I couldn’t help but purse my lips, silently cursing–serves him right!
Gavin stood up and straightened his clothes, issuing his orders in an icy tone, “Starting today, Ms. Crawford will tutor you full–time, and you’ll bring the school’s test papers home to take.”
I frowned at him. “Full–time? Who agreed to that?”
Ryan was even more agitated in his protest, “I want to go to school!”
Gavin gave him a cold glance. “Sure, if you can score in the top 20 next time, you can study wherever you want.”
Ryan glared at him, then stormed toward the door. “Who cares
hat you think!”
He had a point!
I also turned to leave.
After taking just a few steps, Gavin called out to stop me, “Where are you going?”
