Luther walked over to stand in front of him, similed, and said nothing. He simply kept drinking his wine.

Luther nodded in realization. From the sound of it, something had probably happened between Jared and Yvonne.

Instead of explaining, Luther asked with a grin, “Have you snapped because she didn’t pick you, Mr. Ford? Considering that you came all the way here just to tell me this in person, I seem to be a really big threat to you.

Howard turned him down with a professional smile. “Mr. Hover won’t accept the gift. The payment will be made as per the normal procedure, and Ms. Jamison here will be the one to pay for it.”
Yvonne had already prepared the check in advance, which she now handed to Leon. “This is the check, Mr. Jacques.”
